Esot: =/\= I can complete my work once we're back on the shuttle. Or I can complete it here from this console, if need be. =/\=
Tucker: Whatever floats your boat, ensign.
Shortrith: =/\= Just keep in mind that the crawlspace can be damaged easily, even blaster fire can break through. =/\=
Jino nodded, pleased with Shortrith's reminder - odds were good everyone on the other away team was aware of that, but it was smart to remember.
Kessler: =/\= Let's just make sure the Tholians get that memo as well. ::beat:: almost there. Ready gents? =/\=
Tucker: =/\= Let’s blow this taco stand. =/\=
The Cardassian shook her head slowly, a brow arching as she looked up at the ceiling. Humans delighted in their idioms.
Zh'taan: =/= The hatch in our room is unlocked! =/=
Esot: =/\= Excellent work, Ensign Zh'taan. Away Team One, the lock has been released on both ends - now it's up to you to get the hatch open. =/\=
The Andorian hurried from his station to manually open the hatch.
Evinrude: =/\= Away Team Two, once we burn through this hatch, how long is our escape route?
Shortrith: =/\= By an estimate, the crawlspace should be approximately 100 metres. From your location, it should be a five minute crawl. =/\=
Jino turned her attention back to the console, reaching out to her tricorder to trigger the data upload so she could focus on the transporter. She squinted a little as she worked her way through connecting each pad to the next in a chain. There were one or two that failed to connected for one reason or another, which required some creative thinking for increasing the range of the link, but she managed.
Evinrude: =/\= Things are trending positively here. I can't be completely sure, but the system is giving every indication that we've prevented a meltdown. When we get back to the ship, I'd like to keep monitoring. =/\=
Esot: =/\= I intended to do the same myself, Lieutenant. =/\=
Shortrith: =/\= It's up to you, Sir. =/\=
Jino's tricorder trilled, showing the upload was complete; the other team's work had been successful, it seemed, and they were approaching rapidly.
Zh'taan: I can see the team’s life signs in motion. They are on their way.
Kessler: Tholians approaching from above and below. Go, go....I have the rear. ::taping his coms:: =/\= Shortrith, I hope you have that transporter working. We're about to have unwanted company and I can't set this explosive off in here without killing us too. =/\=
Esot: =/\= I am working on the final uplinks now. =/\=
Shortrith: Response
The Andorian appeared to be having trouble opening the hatch.
Zh'taan: This damn hatch must not have been used in quite some time, I can’t get it open!
She looked up from the console, her head tilting a little to the side.
Esot: There appears to be a portion of the hatch door that has bent and is holding it in place. Pulling at it appears to have made it worse.
Shortrith: Response
Zh'taan: You’re right! ::He pulled out his phaser, set it to maximum power, and aimed at the side of the hatch to try to widen the opening.:: That did it!
The offending bend apparently removed, the gap widened as Zh'taan put his weight behind it. That was a relief.
Tucker: Slap these on. This should help them lock us in if interference is going to be that much of a problem. =/= Esot, Shortrith, we have personal pattern enhancers on, so if you want to beam us out, go right ahead, because we’re about to engage a group of what we think are Tholians. I think if we get closer to the topside, I can have the Sojourn beam us back.=/=
Evinrude: =/\= It's worth it, but be aware...these pattern enhancers are going to make us stick out like a sore antenna. =/\=
Kessler: Response
Shortrith: Response
Esot: =/\= Understood. I am working to add the pattern enhancers to the transporter chain. If all goes well, we will first all arrive on the Anna Pavlova. It might be a little tight for a moment, but then you can reach the Sojourn. =/\=
Her tricorder chirped again. She could see there were a few groups of Tholians coming from different angles, but still far enough away they were not yet a danger.
Evinrude: =/\= New contacts...friendlies! I'm picking up the other away team! Not far ahead now. =/\=
Esot: =/\= Confirmed, we can see your team approaching now. =/\=
Shortrith/Zh'taan: =/\= Response =/\= (Optional)
Tucker/Kessler: Response
Her fingers danced across the board before finally the transporter console chirruped a confirmation. The full chain was locked in and ready to go. She was about to speak up to let them know when the explosion rocked the facility, her brows raising slowly as she looked up again.
Esot: =/\= I have transporter lock. I'll beam your team out first, Commander, then our team will follow shortly. =/\=
Tucker/Kessler/Shortrith/Evinrude/Zh'taan: Response
Esot: =/\= Energizing. =/\=
Her fingers spread to lay across the console's energizing trigger and she pressed upward slowly. She could see the bioreadings for the others, watched as they started to flow through the different pads, and wondered for a moment what this was going to feel like.
Tucker/Kessler/Shortrith/Evinrude/Zh'taan: Response
Esot: =/\= Energizing for second team. =/\=
She collected her tricorder before once again pressing upward on the controls after locking on. A moment later she felt herself dematerialize…
Tucker/Kessler/Shortrith/Evinrude/Zh'taan: Response
And after what felt like an eternity, her stomach pulled every direction, she found herself on the deck of the Anna Pavlova, looking at the entire group of officers. They all looked haggard.
Esot: Let's get out of here. I'll send you over to the Sojourn.
Tucker/Kessler/Shortrith/Evinrude/Zh'taan: Response
