((Kessler's Quarters, Deck 05 - Cabin 1912, USS Ronin))

Fresh air and a long hike through the countryside with Logan was exactly what Jack needed right now. He glanced over to the Earth canine, a Golden Retriever, who lay on the couch watching Jack's every movement as he packed his day pack for the hike ahead. Logan's tail thumping up and down in a rhythmic beat that clearly indicated the animal was excited to get to go with Jack.

Jack paused and eyed the Holo-graphic dog. Even after several years of constant companionship, Jack was still amazed at how well his former colleague, a brilliant Starfleet Engineer, had programmed this household, family friendly version. Logan lacked none of the characteristics of any real living, breathing dog Jack had ever been around and how Kamus Correlli had pulled that off was still a mystery to Jack. The canine hologram even had a mixture of favorite toys that Jack could never put a finger on when he would pick a new one. Even now, laying on the couch, head held high, the dog's eyes tracked Jack back and forth, mouth open and tongue hanging slightly out of his mouth with excitement.

oO Thankfully Kamus didn't give you bowels. Oo

A rapid successive chirping jerked Jack's attention away from Logan and the pack he was gearing up to a PADD laying on the dining table of his quarters. That sound only meant one thing, a Security Alert.

oO You've got to be kidding. Oo

Jack wanted to ignore the incoming alert. He had trusted people on Duty that could handle anything that didn't send the ship to Red Alert and even then he trusted each of Security and Tactical Officers to handle the task without him at the highest levels. Jack, however, was not one to ignore anything. He stepped to the table, grabbed the PADD and opened the Alert. His eyes scanned the document and as they did his lips pursed together. Ronin crewmembers. Detained. He took a long slow breath as he read the names.

oO I wonder who won? Oo

Another chirp rang out, this time from the combadge seated on Jack's chest. He looked down to the device and noted he was still in Uniform, not yet having time to change into his casual hiking attire. The voice that cut across the comms was the ship's first officer, Commander Raga.

Raga: =/\= Raga to Kessler and Beck. I just saw the incoming security report from the surface. I’m heading down to find out just what in the winds happened. Care to join me? Since it involves two members of your department Quentin, I imagine you’ll want to join tag along. I’m on my way to transporter room two. =/\=

Kessler: =/\= Transporter room two. Aye sir, on my way. =/\=

Jack hoped Beck would come along to help deal with his two medical staff. Especially Dr. De La Croix. Jack had met the doctor only once and if you asked him, that was far more than enough. The doctor was gaining a bit of a reputation for being....he paused for a moment as he tried to find the right word but anything civil seemed to elude him at the moment and given that De La Croix and Rox had ended where they were, spoke volumes.

Beck: =/\= Response =/\=

((Secured Reflection Suite and Contemplation Cell, Harmony Shores Collaborative Resort))

As the trio made their way through the resort’s security Jack remained silent, taking in the sights and noting the number of persons in the unit, their movements and what appeared to be duties or responsibilities. Observation was key to his job as Chief of Security and he did not take it lightly. An interesting concept was the local security therapists, which was exactly where they were headed. Apparently, the brig here was sort of a therapeutic chamber of some sort. Jack hoped the two detainees were comfortable because they would not be for long once he had them back aboard the Ronin. Of course that was as long as Raga did not go easy on them.

Raga: Well, it’s not the first time this crew has gotten up to, what’s the word going around scuttlebutt? Roniningans? It’s not the first time, nor do I expect it will be the last. I’m concerned that it was an altercation between Ronins. It’s one thing to get into a bar brawl with strangers. We’ve been through too much as a crew for me to let something like this be. ::he smiled slightly:: But I don’t want you to feel like I’m stepping on your shoes, Lieutenant. You’ve done an exemplary job with Tac/Sec since your arrival.

Jack glanced at Ronin's first officer and then back around to the surroundings.

Kessler: The decision is yours Commander on how to handle these two, but I feel an example does need to be set. ::beat, looking around:: Interesting Security set up.

Raga: This is certainly unlike any security complex I’ve been to before. And security therapists? Can’t say I ever thought of combining our Protes before.

Kessler: Not sure I can envision water fountains and ornate gardens littering my Brig sir. ::looking to Raga:: Nor do I think I would make a good therapist.

Jack threw the first officer and Dr. Beck a knowing grin as he turned his attention back to them both. Humor was Jack's way of keeping things calm and diffused. There were limits though and that humor would not be so long lived once they arrived in front of Rox and De La Croix.

Beck: Response

Raga: According to the report, Rox took a swing at doctor De La Croix and it avalanched from there.

Kessler: Too bad we could not have sold tickets to that. ::throwing his hands in the air as if to defend himself:: Hey, am I wrong?

Beck: Response

The waiting room they entered had a set of doors on the opposing side of the room. A couch, designed to seat three and two single plush chairs set at angles on each side of the couch. Plants sat in the corners of the room, no doubt native to the planet and gave off a fragrance that was pleasant but entirely unknown to Jack. The waiting room was clearly designed to invoke a peaceful, tranquil setting. Certainly was not the room you felt like you could stay upset with anyone in for long. This was no doubt part of the therapist's design for handling not only unruly visitors but those who would punish them for their actions.

They could hear the voices of the two women that had been detained and as they neared the waiting room. Jack stood to the First officers side as Raga reclined slightly in the couch he’d chosen to sit on as the door opened. Jack's hands remained folded in front of him at his waist. His eyes fixed on the two detainees and the best expressionless gaze he could put on.

Rox/De La Croix: Response

Jack did not mean to speak directly out of turn but even now, given what had happened and where they were at, Jack was surprised by the Doctors attitude and that got a snap reaction from him.

Kessler: That is an understatement, Doctor.

Beck: Response

Raga crossed his arms over his chest but remained silent for the moment. Jack took this to mean he could press the two before the XO weighed in on the situation.

Kessler: Do you two realize how this looks on the Ronin? On the Captain?

Beck/Rox/De La Croix: Response

Raga: Hmm? Oh, I was merely pondering whether or not the Captain still has the get along bracelets he received from GottCo last leave. Or if perhaps a shirt that says ‘Our get along shirt’ can be replicated big enough for the two of you to wear side by side. ::he smiled mischievously and waved a hand:: I’m sure the Captain and I can come up with something later. But for the sake of clarity, I am disappointed. Not mad.

Jack glanced at the first officer slowly and then back up to the two women. He, himself would much rather have a senior officer md at him rather than disappointed. Disappointment took longer to get over, longer to resolve and Jack hated knowing anyone was ever disappointed with anything he had done. So to have Raga say he was disappointed rather than mad felt like it should carry much more weight to Jack.

Kessler: If the Captain does not have plans for them Commander, I have a few suggestions.

He kept his face straight as he moved his hands from in front of him to behind him. Several different thoughts ran through his head for ways these two could make up for their misdeeds.

Raga/Beck/Rox/De La Croix: Response

Kessler: ::with a firmer tone, eyeing both women:: Respectfully, I do not think the Commander cares who started this. The security logs of the incident captured everything.

Raga/Beck/Rox/De La Croix: Response

Jack's eyes shifted to Rox directly and he pressed his lips together giving her a look that said in no uncertain terms, oO You need to shut up Rox. Oo The very thought wanted to roll off his tongue and maybe he should have said it but elected to remain quiet at that moment.

Raga: Response

Kessler: Aye sir. I can do that.

Raga/Beck/Rox/De La Croix: Response
