Lieutenant Luxa Lorana - Act 3: Jumpstart a Symbiont

((OOC - just a quick one to kick off Act Three for myself and Syrex))

((Medical Lab 1 - Sickbay Complex - Deck 7 - USS Excalibur-A))

Luxa had never been in a Vesta class before and she was struck by how spacious everything seemed. And new. 

There were no cracked consoles, or sparks flying towards her mane. It was pleasant even. 

It didn't feel right. She missed Ronin. 

The Ronin hadn't completed her refit, therefore she was almost like a ship lost to time, her style was still reminiscent of a Starfleet gone by, perhaps a different era altogether. When Picard and Janeway became legends, as well as so many others. 

She turned her attention to the sight in front of her, the Trill medical officer by her side. The Excalibur medical team had assisted in a quick retrofit of Medical Lab One.

In place of the usual medical scanning technology there was a small pool in the middle of the room, where a symbiont limply floated around inside. 

((OOC: there will likely be NPC medical staff here feel free to use them, they will be general NPCs so anyone can insert dialogue for them))

Lorana: :: to Syrex :: Ensign, what's the symbiont life signs?

Syrex: Response

Lorana: Given your tone, I'm going to assume that none of that is a good sign.

Luxa moved towards the console that had been situated at the end of the pool, allowing them a view inside whilst they could see the vital statistics of not only the symbiont but the pool itself. 

Syrex: Response 

Lorana: Our priority should be - 

Alieth: =/\= Lieutenant Lorana, Ensign Syrex, what is the current status of our rescued? =/\=

Lorana: =/\= Commander, the symbiont didn't fare too well being displaced from its former tank. We're currently working with the Excalibur medical team to stabilise it. =/\=

 Syrex: =/\= Response=/\=

Luxa could almost feel Alieth's disapproving frown vibrate through the ship. 

Alieth: =/\= This ship should be much better equipped than the Rhine, what do you have in mind to restore their stability, what are your current plans? =/\=

Syrex: =/\= Response=/\= 

Lorana: =/\= I think we'll need to simulate the natural bioluminescent energy field of the symbionts caves … we can do this by placing an energetic resonance modulator into the pool. This should stimulate the symbionts neural pathways … it may also allow us to communicate with it :: looks to the symbionts vital signs :: We don't have time. Lorana out. =/\=

Luxa turned to the doctor and the other medical team around them.
