((Sickbay Complex, Deck 10, USS Ronin))

Quentin, with a smooth motion, inched closer to Alyndra before gently resting his non-hooked hand on her shoulder.

Beck: Don't stop questioning things. Don't be afraid to try to study things a little more closely. That's the sort of spunky attitude that I think is sometimes lacking in some officers. This is how you show you're competent - by showing you know how to think and not just blindly follow orders.

Syrex: Thank you, I will try to keep it up, but not to the extent that I come up with conspiracy theories ::Laughs quietly::

His hand dropped away slowly as he stood again, a grin slowly forming at her laughter. It seemed their chat had done at least something to allay her fears so she could remain better focused on the task at hand.

Beck: Here - let's get a crewman to take this over, I know there are a few that can handle it. I'd like you to join me in Sickbay and help me start putting together the teams to start dispensing the inoculations.

Syrex: Aye, let’s get to work

Turning to lead her our of the lab and back across the corridor to step into Sickbay proper, Quentin paused only long enough to collect one of the hovering carts full of pallets of prepped inoculations and push it through.

Niac: =/\= Standby for action, Doctor.  Bridge out. =/\=

Quentin glanced up at the ceiling, several emotions flitting across his features before finally settling on grim determination.

Beck: Brace yourself, Doctor Syrex. Things are about to get bumpy.

Syrex: Aye, I’ll be ready.

After the brief warning was given, the ship went on red alert status, making his apprentice jump slightly. The ship shuddered a moment later.

Beck: Looks like we're out of prep time. Won't be long til they start deploying those S-Wave weapons.

Syrex: I agree, let’s get those teams out as quickly as we can, we may still be able to inoculate enough of the crew to make it worthwhile, I’d recommend we both get to Ward C as soon as possible after that, who knows how busy we will be.

He nodded his agreement, pushing the cart to the center of the monitor room and leaning over to tap the internal Sickbay comm.

Beck: =/\= All primary medical personnel, please gather in the bullpen. =/\=

Crossing over to the replicator, he raised his left hand to punch in an order for carrying cases with hypos and he pulled them off the tray as they materialized, handing them off to Alyndra.

Beck: Let's hand these to people as they come in and they can start loading up the vials themselves. You better take one, too.

Syrex: Response

He glanced over as a range of officers and crewmen of varying ranks formed a loose circle around them, and his eyes scanned for Avae, Morgenstern, and BEC. The Exocomp orderly floated out of Ward D and hovered closeby, the colors in his nose rotating from green to purple and back again, a display of nervousness that only Quentin had come to recognize.

BEC: Sir.

Avae/Morgenstern: Response

He waited a moment for everyone to get settled and the ship rocked again. Lights flickered and one of the EPS panels in Ward A exploded, throwing that whole section of Sickbay into darkness, but everyone managed to keep their footing and no one was hurt.

Beck: Okay, folks, obviously the theatrics have started. We're as prepped as we can be to handle any casualties as they start coming in, but our focus needs to shift heavily towards prepping for any Sencha radiation. Ensign Syrex has been working diligently prepping these doses for you - there's more than enough here to treat everyone twice, one shot every four hours or so. I doubt we'll get to the need for that second shot, but we're being extra careful here. Load yourself up with as many vials as you can carry and we're going to spread out deck by deck to inoculate the entire crew.

He paused to allow his orders to sink in, then picked up a medkit and handed it off to one of the crewmen nearby.

Beck: You should be able to load up about twenty doses in these kits. Focus first on anyone that has telepathic capabilities, they're gonna be hit the hardest, but make sure to get everyone.

He glanced at Syrex.

Beck: Ensign Syrex will be splitting you up into teams and telling you where to go.

Avae/Morgenstern/Syrex: Response

Beck: Once you've got your assignment, head out right away. If you run out of doses, come back to get some more. I'll be heading out with you. We need full crew inoculation in the next thirty minutes, so let's hustle.

Avae/Morgenstern/Syrex: Response

Everyone started moving quickly, some lining up at the replicator to get an empty kit, some lining up at the cart to gather their vials, and those already armed moving to get their assignment from Syrex.

Quentin made his way past the group and to his office, popping inside briefly before walking out again with a bandolier strapped across his chest with one large slot for a hypospray and the rest small slots that would hold up to a hundred different vials. With his left hand, he slipped a hypo into the bandolier and moved to the opposite side of the cart so he could fill the bandolier about halfway. That done, he moved to Syrex's side, waiting until she was done providing an assignment before interrupting.

Beck: Do you want to hit the Stellar Cartography or the Bridge? I'll go to the other. I was going to just send you to the lab as I already have some experience on the Bridge in a battle situation, but thought I'd give you the option.

Syrex: Response

Avae/Morgenstern: Response, if any
