((Deck 10, Medical Complex, USS Ronin))
The turbolift came to a halt and the doors hissed open. Jack led the way out past a couple of Ronin's crew who were waiting to board the lift. Each gave him a slight head nod and he returned the gesture in kind with a smile and a nod. As they stepped into the main corridor, Jack continued the lead but again slowed his pace for the shorter officer so they could remain at his side. The walk to sickbay was not far and he paused just as they came to the doors leading into the medical complex.
Kessler: ::turning to Taj'el:: Before we step in, is there anything I can answer for you or anything I can help you with?
Taj'el: Thank you, Lieutenant Kessler. You have been… kind, insightful, and helpful. I was uncertain what to expect, but I am grateful for your assistance.
Kessler: Just know that my door is always open and you are always welcome to come to me if you need anything.
Taj'el: Thank you, sir. I will endeavor not to be a disruption.
Jack gave the Doctor a broad smile and a nod and then stepped to the sickbay doors. With a whoosh, the doors parted and Jack led Taj'el into the Sickbay and then halted as he looked around to see who was there to introduce Taj'el to.
Any one: response
Kessler: ::turning half way to Taj'el:: This is Lieutenant Taj'el from the USS Thor.
Taj'el: It appears that most of the medical personnel are either occupied or otherwise not present ::They turned back toward Kessler:: I will ensure that I introduce myself to the Chief Medical Officer before initiating any duties. Once again, sir, thank you for bringing me here
Kessler: Very well Lieutenant, but remember what I said.
Jack was not as happy about the colder than usual welcoming in Sickbay but it was shore leave and there were fewer personnel in the facilities than he was used to seeing.
Taj’el: If you should ever require a medical evaluation, you will know where to locate me. Hopefully, for the duration of my assignment here, that will be the extent of your need.
Kessler: I will keep that in mind Lieutenant. No offense though, I try to stay out of sickbay as much as I can.
Taj’el: Forgive me, there is one additional question: your lounge…?
Kessler: You mean Lounge 47? It's back on Deck Four. Social hub of the Ronin in most cases. You should check it out.
Taj'el: response
Jack smiled at the Doctor and turned towards the door.
Kessler: I am sure you will Doc. I am in there just about as much as everyone else.
Taj'el: response
Jack paused in the doorway and turned back to the Vulcan. He was half in Sickbay and one foot into the corridor.
Kessler: Lieutenant. You've got this. Have trust in your own self. You'll find that home you are looking for.
Taj'el: response
Jack gave a slow nod to the young Vulcan and finished stepping into the corridor allowing the doors to whoosh shut behind him.
