((Rest Area, The Reef))

Ian wasn’t sure why he’d even taken a walk other than to just gather his thoughts and make sense of where they were. He just found himself wandering a bit with no real destination in mind. He hadn’t planned on seeking any one else out but his path just so happened to come across two others.

As he approached the two women who had just seemed to strike up a conversation, Ian took note of Rox. He’d heard she’d had an experience almost dying in space but was saved by Narhelion. He wouldn’t pry but would try to slip into the conversation that he was there if she needed anything. He also noticed that their medical officer/counselor had a box in her hand that she held out.

O’Connor: Hello, ladies. Am I interrupting anything?

Shortrith: About to dye my hair. It'll just be streaks, but it'll be coloured.

They pointed to the box in reference and Ian shook his head smiling.  Rox rolled her eyes upward to once again observe the gray streaks in otherwise raven black locks.

Rox: That's a decent idea.  I seemed to have ended up with some highlights I don't appreciate.

Ian gave her a look of slight concern, now noticing the grey that hadn’t been there before this mission but didn’t press it. He turned back to Renaie

O’Connor: Sounds like fun. I think some streaks will look great on you.

Any: Response

Shortrith: You want in? I can get another box really quickly.

Rox: Heck yeah!  Anything to get out this gray.

This time Ian caught himself before giving her another look of worry.

Any: Response

Renaie rose to collect another set of materials.

Rox:  Do you have blonde?  I hear gentleman prefer that.

Ian Britishized his voice a bit to make it sound more posh.

O’Connor: Some do, I suppose. For others who are more sophisticated and mature, like myself of course, those cosmetic attributes aren’t anywhere near as important as the true beauty of the spirit within.

Shortrith/Any: Response

Ian laughed:

O’Connor: Didn’t buy that, huh? What about Roxxy Redhead then?

Rox:  ::considering::  Even red seems a bit tame.  If I'm going to do this, I think I should go big.

O’Connor: Your hair, your choice, but I’m filing that Roxxy Redhair nickname away for some point in the future.

Shortrith:  Response

Rox:  We could both go blonde.  Or maybe blue?  Do you like blue?

Ian shook his head at them both.

O’Connor: Green. If you’ve got green, I want in on this.

Shortrith/Any: Response

Rox shrugged her shoulders. The mood suddenly shifted a bit more serious.

Rox:  I don't know what happened, it's been gray since we entered this rift ::beat::  dimension ::beat::  space.  But even the roots are gray.  I'm gonna look older than Thess soon.

Ian chuckled.

O’Connor: Look you guys are the medical experts here, but could this place be messing with you somehow?

Shortrith/Rox/Any: Response

O’Connor: We can definitely cover it up with green, but, look, just know that if this is something more or whatever…you can count on my help.

Shortrith/Rox/Any: Response

O’Connor: In the meantime, go green. ::a lightbulb clicked:: Oooo. Green Queen. ::He smiled at them both:: Pretty catchy right?

Shortrith/Rox/Any: Response
