Rox was very pleased. Her date with Marty may have been brief, but she'd eaten well and they a made the most of the situation. She had gone back to her quarters, changed into her uniform and headed to sickbay to see if anyone knew what was going on. As she strolled down the halls of the Ronin towards her destination, Niac's voice came over the address system. He doled out numerous platitudes and compliments along with ribbons and promotions. As ever she didn't get anything and Rox made a mental note to figure out how to harass Niac sometime in the future. Something that would change his beard would be ideal, perhaps she could dye it somehow.
Arriving in sickbay, Beck was there ready to take the lead and Rox stopped to see what their next move would be.
Beck: Good afternoon, everyone; I want to reiterate the Captain's apology for our unexpected departure, as I know many of you put in some extra time with us here in Sickbay when we were supposed to be relaxing. That is, unfortunately, one of the drawbacks of serving as a Starfleet Medical Officer. That said, I want to thank each and every one of you for your willingness to step up when you're needed; I will be adding a commendation to your files and will make sure you all get something special out of it later on.
He paused for a moment giving everyone an odd smile. Rox smiled back with gusto.
Beck: Now. I have no idea what it is we're walking into with these two specialists, but we don't really need to know to do what we do best. Standard procedure applies for now. Wyla, I'd like you to lead the effort to prep Ward A and B for triaging superficial and minor injuries. Rox, I'd like you to prep Ward C for triaging any serious injuries that may require surgery; De La Croix, your primary focus will remain those patients, but if you're available and we need help in Wards A or B, please join us at your discretion.
Avae/Rox/De La Croix: Response
Rox: Excellent Plan sir. Very good.
Beck: Let's hope we don't need to utilize Ward D. Any questions?
Avae/De La Croix: Response
Rox: What's the capital of Assyria?
Beck: Alright, folks. Let's show them why we've got the best Medical staff in Starfleet.
Rox turned to get the materials she would need to prep the ward.
Rox: I'll come find you when I'm done Wyla, in case you need help finishing the A and B.
Avae/De La Croix: Response
Rox scrunched her nose.
Rox: I'm fine. I have good moods…sometimes.
Avae/De La Croix: Response
Rox: So any rumors about what's happening. Whatever it is must be damn important.
