((Secured Reflection Suite and Contemplation Cell, Harmony Shores Collaborative Resort, Logali IV))
Toryn nodded to Quentin and watched the women for a moment before resuming their escort of the pair. It had been a long time since Toryn had to consider a serious reprimand on a subordinate. It was not something he ever cared for, but he’d had to bestow a few dressing downs in his time as department head or second officer before coming to the Ronin.
De La Croix: I'll have you know I have never once been insubordinate in my life and, to the best of my knowledge, neither has Roxanne here. Right?
Kessler: Then I would suggest you keep your golden track record spotless Doctor.
Rox: ::turning to Thess:: It sort of depends on how you define the word insubordinate. I'd say I was subordinate adjacent at the most.
k’Oar-€l: Commander O’Connor expressioned that Nursing Rocks was in troubleness and this one needed to assisting in bailing her out.
Toryn nodded towards their Antedian shipmate when he explained his presence here unexpectedly. It was good to see the crew’s concern for one another was still so strong. Though he might have to speak with Ian about his choice to do that rather than inform the command staff or Security Chief first.
Rox: ::turning back to k’Oar-€l:: I think it was a different kind of bail. ::glancing at Kessler:: Which I may still need.
Beck: Response
Raga: Miss Queen. ::his timbre was slightly deeper than normal:: I think you’ve had enough. ::there was the briefest of pauses:: I expected better from you. ::to Quentin:: I think it’s time for those hyposprays.
He pinched the bridge of his nose slightly and let out another, albeit curt, exhale before he met her and De La Croix’s gazes again.
De La Croix: ...and that's what I think about your hyposprays! Like anything good has ever come out of one of those little colored tubes! I think you need fifty cc's of mustache remover....right stat now!
Kessler: ::looking at Raga and tilting his head:: Seriously?
k’Oar-€l: Still, this one is relieved oneself to find that Nursing Rocks is being all right.
Rox: ::quisily:: I'm not sure how long that's going to last. Could I see that Bucket?
Beck: Response
Raga: That’s fine. ::he said to Quentin:: I think it’s time I had an explanation from both of them. I don’t care about cursing as long as I get a sober answer. Besides, it’s been a while since we’ve had anyone Vailani the mess hall.
De La Croix: Fine way to ruin another evening, Beckie. I thought you'd be glad Roxanne and I had set our differences aside and found some common ground at last.
Rox made some sort of hand gesture by holding her hand by her forehead in the shape of an L. He wasn’t sure the context of the gesture but everything about her demeanor screamed more petulant child than a member of Starfleet.
Raga: While that is admirable, Doctor and a testament their rehabilitation..brig. It’s your current behaviour that is giving us concern. I would have expected adults to work through their issues without resorting to a physical altercation.
Beck: Response
Kessler: When one resorts to childish acts of tantrum and fighting to resolve a difference, one does not get looked on favorably Doctor.
The whole scene of one of their nurses losing their last meal and what looked like at least a bottle of alcohol was disappointing. This was something he hadn’t witnessed since his Academy days. His brow raised slightly at the bucket.
k’Oar-€l: Pleasing keep the bucket then. ::He held it out fully for her to take.:: It is this one’s understanding that in the future you may need one anyway.
When Rox made use of the bucket again.
k’Oar-€l: For when you deciding to kick it.
Rox: That may be sooner than I would have thought. My head is pounding.
Raga: Unsurprising.
Beck: Response
De La Croix: How dare you suggest that the Duchess of Saint Malo…
Their new surgeon and what he assumed was Quentin’s most recent headache had her incredulity interrupted by whatever she’d had imbibed.
De La Croix: Perhaps we should skip the remainder of the evening stroll and have the rest of this conversation some other time. Or possibly never. Never would be fine. I find I've suddenly...taken a bit ill.
Kessler: Oh no Doctor. This conversation will happen. ::beat:: Like it or not you owe the Commander an explanation.
Rox: Could you just put us in the quiet brig? And please stop shouting.
Raga: No one is shouting, and you may yet still end up in the brig.
Beck/De La Croix: Response
Toryn watched their Security Chief get closer to the nurse and quietly say something he assumed was meant to sober her up to the reality of how bad her actions had appeared.
Kessler: ::turning slightly to Rox and in a lower voice:: Krystal looks up to you and asks about you often. I would hope you will remember that you are an example to many.
Rox: ::meekly:: I'm sorry.
Raga: We all have our lapses in judgement from time to time. That being said, we are also Starfleet.
Beck/De La Croix: Response
Kessler: Commander, perhaps now is a good time to continue this conversation back on the ship. ::nodding to people walking nearby:: Out of the view of unwanted eyes.
Rox: Please? You might want to beam me to my quarters if you don't want a mess in the brig.
She made a third deposit in the bucket and Toryn pinched the brim of his nose again. Jack’s comment caused him to glance around at the other visitors around them and he offered the Security Chief a nod.
Raga: Agreed, Chief. I think these two have embarrassed themselves enough for one day. We will try and help them retain what dignity they can given their current state. If nothing else, Miss Queen. Rox. I think you owe the good doctor an apology.
Beck/De La Croix: Response
Kessler: Aye sir.
Rox: Dr. De La Croix I am very sorry for my behavior and I hope to ::burp:: do a better job in the future.
Raga:
Beck/De La Croix/Kessler: Response
Rox: ::annoyed:: I'm very sorry to have embarrassed the Ronin, Commander. If a formal apology would help I'll type one up as soon as my vision is less blurry.
The Al-Leyan offered her a considerate smile and nodded. Just glad that his people were alright and seemed to have learned something from this.
Raga: Noted and appreciated, Rox. I’m sure the locals would appreciate the accountability. ::he tapped his comm badge:: =/\= Raga to Ronin, five to beam up. =/\=
Beck/De La Croix/Kessler: Response
Rox: Ugh thank goodness.
Toryn couldn’t help but smirk slightly as the blue shimmer enveloped their clustered group. He imagined the next few hours were going to be uncomfortable for the pair until they sobered fully.
((Transporter Room 3, Deck 9, USS Ronin))
With the transporter cycle completed he stepped off the pad just before he heard the thud of someone collapsing upon it.
Rox: ::flopping down on the transporter pad:: Home sweet home.
Raga: Indeed. Please try not to make a mess on the transporter pad if you can, Rox. I’m sure the chief here would appreciate it.
He smirked towards the individual behind the transporter console, who quickly began to glance towards the bucket next to Rox.
Kessler/Beck/De La Croix: Response
Rox: ::smiling at Thess:: Let's do this again next week, but without the fight beforehand.
Raga: Please do. I’d prefer to not have to get anymore calls about fights amongst the crew for a long time. Especially when we have a perfectly functioning Anbo-Jitsu ring. ::turning to Quentin and Jack:: As for what to do about them, I leave that up to you two. Since they’re in your department Quentin, I’m sure you and mister Kessler here can devise an appropriate punishment for when they’ve recovered?
Kessler/Beck/De La Croix/Rox: Response
His brow did the vulcanoid raise briefly and for his part Toryn merely shot them a conspiratorial smirk.
Raga: Oh, I’m sure if the Captain has any suggestions he’ll pass them along. If nothing else I think we still have the plasma manifold toothbrush pattern saved in the replicators.
Kessler/Beck/De La Croix/Rox: Response
Toryn took a moment to stop beside both Rox and Thessalonia, crouching by the former, and offered both a warm smile. Even if his expression still held a little of that disappointment from earlier.
Raga: I hope you two learn from this. We have enough things trying to tear us apart and hurt us without us doing the work for them. Take what time you need to recover, alright?
Kessler/Beck/De La Croix/Rox: Response
