((One of the Observation Decks, Celestial Tide Sanctuary, Lolagi IV))
Legs securely folded under them, Renaie gazed up at the stars. It reminded them, in a way, of the city lights of Melbourne - the lights of the tall buildings, the moonlight reflecting off the Yarra River (and the ocean it flowed into), the moving headlights of the public transport as it sped across the city.
The last time they were in Melbourne, it was only an overnight stay between shuttle flights. Renaie had, nonetheless, made the most of being in their hometown once again.
In a way, Renaie missed that place.
But then again, they also had found a home in space.
Two homes.
One that stayed in the same place, one that was constantly in motion.
Footsteps approaching the deck shook Renaie from their starlit reverie. Shuffling around, they noticed Commander Raga in their line of sight.
Shortrith: Good evening, Commander. Apologies for my startledness, I wasn't expecting company.
They tried to give a genuine smile that showed they were happy to see him.
Raga: Response
Shortrith: Nah, feel free to join me. I'm mainly just stargazing.
Raga: Response
Shortrith: Any particular star or constellation you're looking for?
Raga: Response
