Tucker: Could we get your dessert menu? I hear your pastry chef is a craftswoman.
Marty watched as Rox raised an eyebrow and went back to her plate. He felt like something wasn’t right; it was the matière de was making a beeline for their table, and it looked like he had a padd in his hand. As far as Marty knew, they were having a quiet dinner and weren’t causing a problem. He got to the table, took the padd he had in his hand, and put it between Marty and Rox. He then turned sharply on a heel and headed back to his perch.
Rox leaned over and looked at the padd. If the look on her face was any indication, then it wasn’t good. Hopefully, Marty wouldn’t have to have the ship's JAG get involved, but they didn’t do anything wrong
Rox: That jerk! The Captains recalling us. ::looking at Rox:: Why is he recalling us now?
Tucker: He’s what? ::Marty yionked the padd:: Sure as crap in the pasture, whatever the recall is, it has to be important if they’re breaking up shoreleave.
Marty and Rox dropped their napkins on the table and left. There was no reason to fight this; they didn’t need to end up in the brig or in one of the Captain’s torture…err, deterrent devices. They found themselves in the hallway, back to their room..
Mary wasn’t sure how much he liked that thought.
The pair stood up and left the table. There was no use arguing about it, they'd only end up in the brig if they didn't return. Given Raga and Niac's obsession with punishing the crew she was sure they'd come up with something sadistic. They were soon walking down the corridor back toward their room.
Rox: I'm not even sorry I reprogrammed all his padds to sing that song.
Marty let out a good laugh.
Tucker: That was you? Brilliant stuff.
Marty was unhappy; he’d gone all out for her, only to have the Skipper recall them, it just seemed to be he hadn’t had the greatest run of luck as of lately. Maybe the universe was trying to tell him something, but he didn’t want to hear it.
He felt more than saw Rox approach and wrap her arms around him; her head was rested on Marty’s back, and he knew it felt right. Like that was missing until now.
Rox: You know, it will take them like an hour to track everyone down, so we could certainly take a little time. It would be a shame not to see what this bed is like.
Tucker: I couldn’t agree more….
Rox: Computer, lights out.
