Lt. Commander V'Len Kel - One more time

((Transporter room, Deck 4, USS Compass Rose))

It had been nearly 2 hours since Beck had beamed aboard and been able to put all the clues together to find a treatment for the plague.  V'Len still felt nauseous, but it had subsided somewhat and the titration of the dose for others seemed to be helping with few ill effects.  They did not have time to check for allergens and had agreed that if there was a reaction to the components they would deal with it after the virus had been destroyed.  It was a risk, but one that was necessary.  Slowly but surely the crew of the Rose were getting treated and V'Len assumed similar activities were happening on the Ronin.  

Now he had been summoned to the Rose's transporter room.  Apparently there was a shuttle in need of help.  As second officer V'Len was reluctant to put the Ronin crew in any further jeopardy.  So this was where the patient would come.  

He nearly careened into Karrod Niac as they both arrived at the transporter room.

Kel:  Captain.

Any/Niac:  Response

Kel:  I've no idea.  I just got here myself.  

He carried with him several hypos of the new antidote suspension that he and Beck had worked out.  

Any/Niac: Response

Kel: It's been a day.  I'll say that much.  

A crewman pressed several buttons and a white light shimmered.  Slowly a body appeared and V'Len's eyes went wide.  It was covered in something. Given what he'd seen, V'Len was concerned it was perhaps someone. V'Len whipped open his tricorder.  

Kel: ::gasping::  Oh no.  

Any/Niac: Response

V'Len swooped down next to the young Orion, his midsection and arms were covered in a thick layer of protoplasmic material.  The smell was all too familiar.  

Kel:  Commander O'Connor?  Ian?  Can you hear me?  ::looking at Niac:: He's in shock.

Any/Niac:  

Weakly,  O'Connor raised his arms.  V'Len pressed the hypo of antiviral to his neck and followed it with a strong sedative.  A moment later Ian fell back and V'Len lowered him to a lying position.   

Kel:  He's asleep ::beat::  for now.
