The shimmer of the flight deck’s bow forcefield that kept the hangar pressurized at all times silhouetted him against the backdrop of the Reef’s facilities and the throngs of cosmozoans that swam out there. All sizes and varied shapes. Some bigger than anything from the legends of Magna Roma. The weight that they might have somehow stumbled upon the domain of Neptune had not escaped him.
A momentary glance at Narhelion who slept in another dock such as the one they were in let him see just enough of the wound on her back and cause a knot to tighten in his stomach.
He turned back away from the forcefield and had barely taken two steps back towards the Valkyries when he realized he was not alone. Beyond the occasional shuttle sized cosmozoan that had figured out they could enter through the flight bay’s field and find a place to nap amongst their own support craft.

He snapped to a crisp state of attention when he noticed the Major.
Eryxus, F: Major Singh. I did not see you.

Eryxus, F: Yes, ma’am. I was considering all of Neptune’s wonders and where we find ourselves now. ::he glanced towards an unused but not unoccupied space on the flight deck normally where one of the shuttles sat:: And with so many guests.

Eryxus, F: They do seem mindful not to damage or otherwise impede us in any way. It makes one wonder if that is through sentience like Narhelion, orders from the Reef, or just earnest understanding. ::he relaxed:: I finished the checks on all the Valkyries and Peregrines as you ordered ma’am. We have one Peregrine in need of a replacement engine. And one of the Valkyries suffered severe damage to its power systems during the fight when the flight deck was damaged. I recommend grounding both until they’re repaired.
