Wren: oO That’s what I thought. Oo The interior of mine has completely corroded. I’ve never seen damage like this before, it looks like it’s a hundred years old. It’s incredible this made it back at all.

Dohna: Mine is in a similar state.

Delphina frowned at the sight. Both probes were completely unusable now, and the rot inside looked almost morbid. Slipping an engineering glove on, Delphina reached her hand into the probe, trying to pull out anything salvageable, but the metal inside immediately crumbled upon contact. Dissatisfied, Wren took her hand back out, staring at the black residue that was left on the glove.

Wren: It's like touching sand....

Before Wren could add anything more, the doors opened and another engineer walked in. For a moment, Delphina parsed through her knowledge of the engineering roster. oO I think that's…. Rachel Morgan? Oo

Dohna: This will take some time to analyze. ::turning to Rachel:: Thank you for coming Lieutenant. ::handing her a padd:: The warp core is acting strangely. It seems as if the system will not itiniate because it believes there is a problem entering subspace.

oO That's odd. I thought we'd stopped because of what's going on upstairs. Maybe I could take a look at it when I'm done here.Oo Wren stood up, stripping off the glove and laying it on top of the probe as she walked over to the nearby console.

Wren: before the probes arrived, I was able to download a scan of the area where the Kurosawa…. :: uncomfortable:: incident occurred. I don't know if we can take any additional data from these now, though.

Morgan: Response

Dohna: What I can see is that probe's the chronometer is no longer synced to the Ronin's. The probe has experienced a time dilation, a significant one.

Morgan: Response

Wren: That makes sense. The area's littered with chronitons, indicating a space-time shift

Wren pulled up the scan on the console, frowning at the strange chroniton placement. It looked as though the shape of the Kurosawa had been painted into the void of space, though there was a small section missing where the probe had vanished. oO If it were me, I'd probably send another probe along to see if it happened again. Never just try something once, and if it doesn't disappear, we'd get a good idea of where the anomaly starts- Oo Wren winced, gripping the console as a wave of nausea suddenly rolled over her. oO What the hell was that …? Oo

Dohna: There is more. The probe seems to have encountered some kind of subspace anomaly. You can see these ribbon like structures here.

Wren shook her head, turning her attention to the screen, watching the ribbon structures. She'd never seen anything like them before, but as she looked at them, something occurred to her.

Wren: oO None of these ribbons look exactly the same, but .. it almost looks as though they might fit together. Oo

Morgan: Response

Dohna: It could explain the problems with the warp core.

Silently, Delphina reached out to the screen, resting her fingertips against the image. The ribbons seemed to zig-zag all over the place, but… oO But there's a pattern. The highest collection is in this section here, they're practically on top of each other, and the other ribbons look almost like…. Ripples.Oo. Biting her lip, Delphina moved the ribbon-like structures over the map of the Chroniton particles that the probes had encountered. The center of the ribbon structures was exactly where the Kurosawa had exploded, with the rest of the ribbons flowing out of it like some sort of abstract painting.

Wren: ::stepping back:...... It looks like someone took a hammer to a pane of glass…..

Morgan/Dohna: Response

Wren: If the scattering of the ribbons is accurate, then the Ronin is currently in the outer border here ::gesturing to the second-closest ripple::. They're either touching the ship, or passing through the hull.

Delphina was about to suggest they reach out to the bridge when another wave of nausea hit her. Staggered, Wren stepped back, before realizing that both officers were staring at her.

Wren: ::too quickly:: I'm fine. Just a little dizzy.

Morgan/Dohna: Response

Wren: I think it might be a good idea if we tell the bridge we need to move back. We don't know if the anomaly is affecting us, but it couldn't hurt to pull out of it before it potentially starts causing problems.
