Tucker: You ready? I haven’t told you the destination cause I want it to be a surprise. I think you’re going to really like it.
Rox: I hope it's somewhere cool. I'm sweating in this field jacket.
Marty smiled as she gave him a light kiss on the cheek and moved to the transporter pad next to him. She was slightly overdressed, but she’d find out soon enough. He hoped things went as planned; this was a pretty big step for the two, but he owed her after last shore leave.
She gave him a light kiss on the cheek and moved onto the transporter padd.
Rox: Alright, I'm all yours for the next 100 hours.
Marty beamed at that and nodded to the transporter chief.
Tucker: Energize, Chief.
The pair was soon engulfed in the transporter beam's white light.
((Celestial Tides Resort, Lolagi IV))
The pair materialized, the air was warm and humid, just as he suspected. They were on the patio of their bungalow staring off across the beach as the Lolagi sun started to dip past the horizon. The stars were already putting on a spectacular show as the light was replaced with night. Marty looked around and couldn’t see another bungalow next to theirs; if there was, it was hidden. No neighbors were a good thing; Maty wasn’t really looking to make friends.
This time was about him and Rox.
Rox: Well, this is nice. Very nice. Where exactly are we?
Tucker: We are at the Celestial Tides Sanctuary, where there's a variety of activities like stargazing and more, all from our private bungalow. We also have the special observation package, which includes :: Marty turns to point out the telescope:: a state-of-the-art telescope for a closer view, among other features.
Rox: Very nice? Not to be that girl, but is dinner part of our plans?
Marty smiled, a slightly devious smile. Little did she know that he hadn’t eaten yet, and was starving, and they had reservations at L'Éclat d'Étoile, one of the finest restaurants on the planet.
Tucker: Yes, we need to get dressed. It’s Celestial Themed Fine Dining. So we need to change into something a bit more formal. The name of the place is L'Éclat d'Étoile, which translates to star burst. It has one of the finest Chefs in the quadrant.
He grabbed her hand and led her back into the room. It was spacious with a couch and a beautiful teakwood coffee table set in front of a fireplace. A divider split the room in half; the second half was the bedroom. A huge bed, and the head was amazing; he couldn’t even begin to describe it, it was almost as big as the bedroom. The Suite was huge.
Rox: Response
Tucker: I was hoping you would like it. There were several different suites, but this one I sorta fell in love with. They also have a holodeck, which I heard some of the programs are amazing.
Marty picked up his suitcase and took it into the bedroom. He’d already picked out a suit to wear. It was all black and looked pretty snazzy. He hoped that Rox liked it.
Rox: Response
He smiled, walked over, and gave her a light kiss on the forehead.
Tucker: Our reservation is for 1900 hours, and by the looks of it we have an hour to get ready. Will that be enough time?
Rox: Response
He held up his hands in mock surrender.
Tucker Oh, of course, ladies first. ::he flashed a smile::
Rox: Response
((L'Éclat d'Étoile, matière de station))
The restaurant was busy, and alight with energy. It looked like synchronized chaos, the way the wait staff weaved in and out of tables, keeping guests happy. It reminded him of home and watching his mother work in the restaurant. When he was old enough, he bused tables for a while before getting into Starfleet Academy. He did it during his summers off College as well; he’d transport home from Cal Tech.
He approached the station, where an Andorian in a tuxedo was not only taking care of the customers in front of him but also using the comm.
Tucker: Table for two, 1900 hours.
Matirere De: Ah, yes, Mister Tucker and Miss Queen, we’ve been expecting you. If you follow her,:: he nodded at a Bolian waitress in a tuxedo top and skirt:: she’d get you settled in for the evening.
Rox: Response
Marty grabbed her hand and interlaced his fingers with hers as they followed the waitress. The place was packed, and not a frown on a single face. From what he could see, the food looked amazing; they had things from across the quadrant and some from beyond. For some reason, Marty chose to look up, and his jaw dropped. Above them, it looked as though the ceiling of the establishment was like a giant moon roof, with massive clusters of stars and Lolagi’s two moons.
Marty nudged Rox to make her look up. He couldn’t tell if it was holotechnology or a force shield over the restaurant, which was most likely the case. But he couldn’t be sure; he was going to have to ask someone because it was a marvel.
Tucker: Amazing.. ::he squeezed her hand::
Rox: Response.
