((Shuttlecraft Jonas Salk, approaching the Compass Rose, Kappa 214 System))
Ian sat on the deck of the shuttle covered in the sticky dark slime that used to be Zellu. He was staring off into nothingness; his gaze vacant and distant.
He had no sense of time or space. Only emptiness.
He had no awareness of long it had been since he’d stopped crying. How long he’d been sitting there. How long she’d been gone.
He didn’t register that the proximity notice had gone off. That the shuttle had dropped out of warp. That the autopilot had disengaged
He became only vaguely aware of his surroundings after the shimmering lights and distinct sound of the transporter materialized three figures near him.
One bent down over him, the shadow blocking the some of the lighting.
Ian stared at the face. Deep down, there was something that said he should know the person even through the protective gear.
Any: Optional Response
The person spoke something. Ian looked in their direction but processed nothing of what they said.
He tilted his head downward and to the side searching for something that wasn’t there anymore. He raised his hand back in front of his face just staring at the sticky dark material.
There was a hiss before everything faded to darkness.
