((Organic Tunnel, Posterior Dorsal, Unknown Cosmozoan Entity))
His boots made sloshing sounds as V'Len once more crossed the heavily damaged area that the Tholian bomb had created in Narhelion. He couldn't help but wonder how much pain the creature was in. They were still moving and Narhelion was still talking which suggested it was not completely disabled. He'd sent Rox back to the Ronin to try to work through the creatures chemistry to see what they could provide in the way of pain relief. All he knew at the moment was that he would need at least 100 kiloliters of Acinolyathin, which they did not have.
The dripping sound had slowed from earlier and now most of the creatures lost fluid was on the floor of the chamber around them. V'Len had used his phaser to cauterize as many of the damaged vessels as he thought safe, but some were too big to risk damaging. V'Len had ordered a great quantity of the membrane bags which were used to house neural gel packs. These, he hoped, would provide a material for creating repair conduits that cells could eventually grow on. He had noted several clusters that might be nerves. These had been damaged and V'Len had resourced a supply of the bioneural gel packs to act as replacements. He'd also ordered a drum of Polymethyl methacrylate cement to help add structure where needed.
In a shimmer of white light the final pallet of supplies appeared accompanied by Ensign Akani and Ensign Marsek, the newest member of his science team. He'd spent little time with the new ensign given their whirlwind departure from Lolagi IV. Lt. Velis had joined them from the forward section of the creature. As near as he could tell she was still in contact with the Narhelion. The final member of his team was the very capable Ensign Wren.
Kel: Dr. La Croix, are we ready to get started?
He'd done his best for the doctor and while he was sure her preference would be to be recovering in her quarters or on a holodeck beach, he needed her here.
De La Croix: Response
Kel: Ok. Team our first job is to get this mess cleaned up. Lt. Velis, Ensign Wren, there's an interface over there, see if you can bring up some kind of schematic on how this section is supposed to look. Dr. La Croix can then plan our surgical strategy. Let me know when you have a plan and we'll get started.
De La Croix/Wren/ Velis: Response
Kel: Ensigns Akani, Ensign Marsek, we'll start debriding this wound. Set phasers to low power, frequence 8.41. That should shatter these crystals. Don't do anything with these two ::gesturing:: I think they're plugging holes.
Akani/Marsek: Response
V'Len's team began to move off to address the tangle of crystal spikes.
Kel: Ensign Marsek, my apologies for not being able to welcome you aboard properly. I hope we can have a proper introduction when all this is over.
Akani/Marsek: Response
V'Len leveled his phaser and a yellow burst of light blazed toward one of the spikes. It glowed red and then shattered into a fine powder.
((OOC - Sort of split the scene but the characters should remain within earshot of each other and can come back together whenever. ))
