((Poolside, The Farm, Endicronimas V))
O'Connor: Hey, I don’t suppose you play zero-grav Australian Rules pickle-rugby?
Shortrith: Nope, I've heard of it though. People played it a lot when I was in high school.
O'Connor: Me neither, but it sounds like a great way to blow off some steam and get the mind off other things. What do ya say?
Shortrith: Yeah, why not. It'll be a nice break from everything, won't it?
O'Connor: That is exactly what I was thinking.
Shortrith: I suppose we'll have to read up on the rules then, won't we?
O'Connor: Aw c’mon how tough could it be?
Shortrith: Yeah. It'll be something new for both of us.
O'Connor: Absolutely,
((An hour or so later, Zero-grav Australian Rules Pickle-Rugby court, The Farm, Endicronimas V))
Renaie noticed O'Connor floating unconscious through the air, and as if a split second later, they were focused on getting to him to help.
Shortrith: Pause the game, Commander O'Connor's knocked out.
Renaie quickly floated around the senior officer, doing a quick check for injuries.
Shortrith: ::Talking to him despite the fact he's unconscious:: Okay, you're not externally bleeding, but from what I can see there's been a decent head knock. You'll be lucky it's not a concussion.
As two of the Farm staff came over, Renaie briefly recounted what happened to them.
Shortrith: And he's not bleeding at least- ::notices O'Connor come to:: Commander! Welcome back to the world of the living. You okay?
O’Connor: Yeah, yeah, I’m okay. Just got the wind knocked outta me.
Renaie watched the situation for a moment, brow furrowing a little as they could have sworn they noticed a slight change in O'Connor's face.
O’Connor: All right, I guess I’ll hit the showers.
Shortrith: Do you want me to stop it for you?
O’Connor: No, no you should finish the game. You seem to be good at it. I’ll get changed and cheer you on for the second half.
Renaie slightly smiled at the praise.
Shortrith: Okie dokie, I'll keep an eye out for you at the end. And thank you!
O’Connor: If you’re up for it we could try something else afterward. ::he smiled:: but, maybe you should pick the next activity.
Shortrith: Okay, I'll think about it.
Renaie turned back to the field, getting ready to play once more.
Shortrith: Let's do this.
((Half an hour later, outside Zero-grav Australian Rules Pickle-Rugby court, The Farm, Endicronimas V))
Renaie tossed the ball one last time towards the goal before floating off to the side towards O'Connor.
Shortrith: And… that's it. The last goal was just scored before time.
O'Connor: Response
Shortrith: Aw, thank you! You did really well too, in the time you had.
O'Connor: Response
Shortrith: Yeah, I suppose so. How does something not as intense sound for keeping ourselves occupied?
O'Connor: Response
