She hadn't been a bad kid, just one to test the limits, and perhaps that was what led her into Starfleet. It was what had
intrigued Jaxx all those years ago, and what had gotten her out of more than one sticky situation. It was, as things might have been, a character flaw that just seemed to err on the side of beneficial, and so, became something of a boon. A voice broke the
silence of her thoughts, though she had known for at least a few minutes that it had been coming. Adriana smiled slightly to herself.
Dakora: Excuse me, is this seat taken?
A.Morgan: Nope. It's yours if you want it.
She gestured to the chair and looked up at him with her own inky black eyes, a slight twinkle of amusement dancing in them
on account of the single pip on his collar. It was rare that a stranger started a random conversation with her, and even more so an ensign. He had guts, or he was seeking to get himself into trouble - either way, she was amused and impressed.
Dakora: Always nice to see a child of Betazed this far from home. ::He shot her a friendly smile.:: I'm Talos Dakora.
Sending him a friendly smile right on back, she inclined her head ever so slightly.
A.Morgan: Adriana Morgan.
Watching him look about the room, she tried to size him up. What did he want? What was he after? He didn't do too good of
a job at hiding it, though she wasn't sure that he had meant to either.
Dakora: These places are a gold mine for rumors. ::He made a sort of dramatic show of tugging at his black collar.:: It's
sort of my job to know things...
Raising an eyebrow, she nodded as if coming to some clear understanding she hadn't before. The black collar was something
that held a bit of intrigue, and for some perhaps, was something to behold with trepidation. Adri had worked with too many officers from the Tower to have that kind of reaction though. Still, she'd play the game.
A.Morgan: Is it? Which one is yours?
Gesturing to the veritable soup of ships outside the window, she wondered which of them had the luck to have him aboard.
Dakora: I... I don't know what ship I'm on... ::He grinned sheepishly.:: I know what ship I was supposed
to be on, but... well it got destroyed before I ever made it there...
That made her do a second take on him and shoot him a far more serious look than before. There was
only one ship that fit that criteria, and she had been aboard. The poor guy hadn't even made it home before home had become bits of dust and apparently the start of a nice planet on the edge of the Borderlands.
A.Morgan: Ah, the Resolution. It's really a shame you never got to see her.
Dakora: Response?
For a moment, Adri was quiet, recalling the final moments of her time aboard the tiny, ill-fated ship.
A.Morgan: She was a fine little ship, though truth be told, I am hoping we are assigned to something...a bit
bigger than that this go around.
She smirked at him with a bit of a knowing grin at this point. It was his job to know things, was it? It seemed
like in this instance, perhaps he was a little bit behind the game, but that made it all the more fun for her.
Dakora: Response?
A.Morgan: So, Mister Talos Dakora...what do you know?
Her black eyes leveled at him as her smirk turned into a grin.
A.Morgan: ~And what do you want to know?~
Dakora: Response?
