Cmdr. Genkos Adea - Wink Wink, Nudge Nudge

Genkos crossed his hands across his body, his cane taking centre stage of his body. They were discussing the final decision of Vitor’s punishment, and Genkos found it slightly… distasteful, possibly because for him it was all wrapped up in the destruction of the Resolution. 

 

Adea: So what do we do? Someone should talk to him. ::he looked over at Addison:: Would you like that, um, pleasure? 

 

Addison made a whole song and dance of finding the First Officer’s duties on a PADD and then accepting it with mock amusement. Genkos grinned and rolled his eyes so hard he almost gave himself a migraine.

 

MacKenzie: Yes, I do believe this falls under the duties and expectations of the ship’s first officer. As far as I know, that would still be me.

 

Raising an eyebrow, Kalianna nodded, whilst Genkos shook his head. Nice to see Addison hadn’t lost her sense of, well not humour. Sass.

 

Nicholotti: Despite our not actually having the ship yet, it would.

 

Genkos shrugged, conceding the point.

 

MacKenzie: So, what kind of disciplinary action are we talking about here?

 

Nicholotti: Based on the report and on everything I have seen or heard, I'd like to think that he has learned something from this. I don't believe another demotion will help the situation either. A formal letter of reprimand, however, and a warning. 

 

Genkos said nothing, but nodded along with Addison

 

MacKenzie: And what kind of expectations do you want me to make sure I lay out for him going forward?

 

Nicholotti: How about we start with abiding by the traditions and best practices bestowed upon him by wearing that uniform.

 

Kalianna frowned ever so slightly, and Genkos’ head cocked curiously at her.

 

Adea: Will that be enough?

 

Nicholotti: And he needs to meet for regular counseling sessions, and set up a plan for overcoming whatever that moment was. Primal instinct, a bad reaction, whatever. It isn't something we need to see from an officer and it needs to be something we never have to worry about again.

 

MacKenzie: Response

 

Adea: I will let Counselling know he has extra sessions. I’m sure Meidra will be thrilled.

 

Kalianna nodded and stood.

 

Nicholotti: Very well. Make ready for departure then. We leave within the next day.

 

Tapping the PADD next to her, Kalianna was indicating she was still waiting for their final orders. Genkos nodded and gave Kalianna a very short bow. He felt immediately like an idiot; she was the Captain and his partner, not a queen.

 

MacKenzie: Response

 

Adea: Aye Captain.

 

He turned around and stepped out of the office after a few steps. Once the doors whooshed closed behind him, he let out a long exhale. What a stupid way to leave the room.

 

Shaking his head, he hurried his step and fell in next to Addison. He gave her a soft nudge with his elbow.

Adea: We got interrupted at the dinner, but I wanted to check in. Have you seen the specs of my new sickbay? It’s insane! As a fellow doctor, I feel like you’d appreciate the sheer quality of what we’re going to have.

 

MacKenzie: Response
