((CMO’s Office, Sickbay, Deck Two, USS Resolution))
Genkos was relieved to hear that Yogan wasn’t suffering from any after-effects of the isoboramine level rollercoaster he’d been travelling when they’d been in the Briar Patch. He plumped himself down in his chair, and sipped the gorgeous sapphire wine that went down so easy.
Adea: Okay, well it’s something I’d still like to keep an eye on, for a little while anyway. What humans call a belt-and-braces approach.
Yalu: ::chuckling:: Humans are weird, aren’t they? I’ll check in with Sickbay regularly just to be on the safe side, until you’re satisfied that I’m out of the woods. ::at this point, the Trill raised his glass in a toast:: To you and yours, Genkos.
Adea: ::feeling slightly guilt about his premature sip:: And to yours, Yogan.
Genkos took another gentle sip, and then studied Yogan’s face when he sipped his. He wasn’t sure if the Trill had had this particular Betazoid beverage before, although he did know that Benim had lived there for a time. His face seemed to enjoy it though.
Yalu: So, how have things been going for you?
Genkos furrowed his brow and cocked his head, curious as to what precisely Yogan meant. It occurred to him at that moment that the doctor knew more about the pilot than vice versa. It was often the way, in a doctor-patient relationship, as doctors weren’t keen to talk about their own lives whilst the patient was being examined. They preferred to keep the patient’s minds occupied (some would say distracted) by asking personal questions of the patient.
Adea: I’m going to need a bit more precision than that; what do you mean?
Yalu: Professionally, personally, anything in between. I’m just interested in getting to know you better. We’ve been serving together for a while now.
Genkos pursed his lips and his head did a little wiggle of pleasure. It wasn’t hugely often that people asked him personal questions, and he was kind of flattered to be asked.
Adea: Well, they’ve been going better since we left the Briar Patch, but I don’t suppose that’s news to anyone. Toto, that’s my dog, he’s back on his feet after being injured in the crash. He forgave me for practically ignoring him all mission pretty much immediately. Whether I’ve forgiven myself, however, is a whole other question.
Yalu: Response
Adea: Self-forgiveness is not one of my strong suits; ::he let out a chuckle:: I think anyone from the Gorkon could tell you that.
Yalu: Response

"You know, I'm really easy to get along with most of the time, but I don't like bullies and I don't like threats, and I don't like you, Culluh. You can try and stop us from getting to the truth but I promise you that if you do I will respond with all the 'unique technologies' at my command." - Kathryn Janeway
