((Jalanda City Festival Grounds, Private Pavilion))

The mood was almost intoxicating, in the most uplifting way. Bright colors danced in the soft breeze and the light scent of different baked goods drifted on currents and settled around them like enticing tendrils reaching out to bring everyone closer to the festival center. As for the crew, Kali had procured their very own corner of the area just to give each their time to shine and to reward them for every bit of blood, sweat, and soul that was lost to the revolutions of time caused by the Q named Cloq.

They all needed a little more light in their lives at that point. Kali was grateful for the opportunity to offer that to the crew that had given so much.

As they gathered, some in suggested brightly colored clothes, and others in whatever they felt comfortable in, Kali gathered her first and second officers and made her way to the front of the pavilion. Waiting a moment, she watched the small crowd until they grew quiet in anticipation. With a smile bright enough to match all the colors of the festival, she began.

Nicholotti: Crewmates, officers of the USS Resolution, this day is a day to celebrate you and just how grateful I am for you. ::Lifting her hands up to encompass their surroundings, Kali continued.:: Here, in the midst of a celebration of that very thought, I want to recognize you all for the incredible contributions you made during our last mission.

She paused and looked around, making eye contact with each of them, for that fleeting second that allowed her to convey her deep thanks. Without those looking back at her, there would have been no success, and no escape perhaps.

Nicholotti: Through some of our darkest hours, you have shown yourself to be an incredible source of light, and well worthy of this recognition, and the thanks of a grateful crew, and the entirety of Starfleet Command. First and foremost, each of you will receive the Defense of Temporal Flow Ribbon for your work in maintaining the timeline in the best possible manner.

Another moment passed as they prepared. Kali willed the voices quiet, at least for a moment.

Nicholotti: Would Lieutenant JG Aine Sherlock join me please.

Sherlock: Response?

It only took a moment, but the woman arrived and was met with Kali’s smile.

Nicholotti: Lieutenant, throughout these trying times, despite seemingly insurmountable odds, you have stepped up and continued to serve the ship and your crew with distinction and excellence. You’ve put yourself willingly in harms’ way to ensure the safety of your charges, but not without cause and diligence. Your careful approach, and steadfast stance makes you the security officer every Captain wishes they had, and the kind that they write about in the history books.

Kali raised an eyebrow at her, smirking slightly before continuing.

Nicholotti: Therefore, it is my great pleasure to promote you to full Lieutenant, with all rights and privileges therein.

And there might have been an eruption in applause just then, but Kali held up a hand.

Nicholotti: I am also reassigning you.

The smirk got bigger, growing into a full on smile.

Nicholotti: From this moment forward, you will be serving as the Resolution’s Chief of Security. Congratulations!

Sherlock: Response?

Genkos shot Aine a wink from his place behind Kalianna’s right shoulder.

Adea: Congratulations, Lieutenant.

MacKenzie: ::nodding slightly:: Nicely done.

Kali presented the newly frocked Lieutenant to the crew before allowing her to step down. Then, she began again.

Nicholotti: Lieutenant Yogan Yalu, if you would join me please.

Yalu: Response?

Having to look up as he came to stand next to her, she positioned herself so that she could do so without the sun glaring into her eyes and then smiled up at him.

Nicholotti: As your captain, I can appreciate the skill you have at the helm and all of the ways you get us out of some very sticky situations on a regular basis. As a fellow pilot, I can appreciate that even more. Not only can you fly, but you do so with such intuition and ability that sometimes it is by your hand we are saved. Beyond that, you serve with distinction in the best traditions of Starfleet and I am honored to hereby promote you to Lieutenant Commander, with all rights and privileges therein.

Kali’s smile turned into a grin as she handed him the extra half pip to the tall Trill man in front of her.

Nicholotti: Congratulations!

Yalu: Response?

Again, Genkos grinned and shot the Trill a wink.

Adea: I’m going to have to start calling you sir soon, aren’t I?

Addison leaned over her shoulder in Genkos’s direction.

MacKenzie: Quiet or she’ll start taking pips away from us!
