(( Shuttle Storage, Deck 11 USS Oumuamua ))

Toxin was just closing out the ‘Oumuamua OC, the staff had all transferred over to the OEB and the last few checks were being completed elsewhere on the ship by Nilsen. He was really impressed how much Lhandon had stepped up and owned his new role, maybe not so much the title, which he often griped about for it came with a lot of “Sirs”, but the role’s duties.

He started down the hall when he was alerted by the computer to report to the Shuttle Bay for a potential security alert…. (beat) oO Oh great, what has he done now…Oo He knew the last place Nilsen had reported in was in the Shuttle bay clearing the transporter buffer to shut it down.

Nilsen: ::To Greeves & Sherlock:: Looks like it’s my lucky day. What are people like you doing in a place like this?

Toxin wasn’t overly amused at Lhandon’s attempt, maybe if Greeves and Sherlock hadn’t been present.

Arlill: We were alerted when the security force field was activated on an otherwise empty ship (beat) what’s going on?

Nilsen: Response

Greeves/Sherlock: Response

Nilsen: Aye sir, On your cue.

Toxin looked at Greeves and Sherlock and it was obvious they were waiting on the Chief of Operations to make the call, of course it took a moment for his brain to register that he…. was… the Chief of Ops. oO Dummy. Oo

Arlill: Do it.

Greeves/Sherlock: Response

The transporter no sooner finished cycling than Nilsen had turned to the present senior officers with the biggest grin on his face.

Nilsen: Oh Lee…Oh my…Tox…Greeves…Sherlock. It’s her! :beat: It’s the Foxy Lady ::Lhandon ran towards the forcefield, stopping just short:: computer lower force field.

Toxin couldn’t help but let out a small laugh, no maybe it was a giggle, but he’d never admit he giggled.

Greeves/Sherlock: Response

Nilsen: She must have saved this before we did the upgrades. ::Stepping back out:: Greeves, look, it’s her. We ran Denali in this thing. It’s the Foxy Lady.

Toxin watched as his Assistant Chief of Operations ran around like a kid who was given the keys to drive dad’s car for the first time, but he was only 6 years old. He was happy for Nilsen, but part of him wanted to remind him that he was in charge now and some level of decorum might be apt.

Foxy Lady (in Rox's Voice): Systems ready for power

Nilsen: Tox. I’m taking her to the ::Beat:: Is that Rox’s voice? Does Kel know about this? He were the one who set us up for it.

Toxin had received a secured message a few days prior, from V’Len, indicating there might be a surprise waiting in the Shuttle Bay, he couldn’t be sure what the good doctor had meant by that, but now it was clear. He’d just assigned Nilsen to clear out the last tasks on the shuttle bay assuming he’d be more excited than even Toxin at whatever the surprise was, not because Tox wouldn’t be surprised and excited, but he could never hold a candle to the level of excitement that Lhandon had sweating out of his pores at any given time or day.

Greeves/Sherlock: Response

Toxin looked towards Greeves and Sherlock for hopeful nods of approval, still being the lower ranking officer present, sans Landon.

Arlill: Lieutenant, your cleared to depart. (beat) permission to join you captain? ::looking at Nilsen::

Nilsen gave a head nod of approval and Toxin made his way on board, looking back at the two officers and giving them a goodbye nod.

Arlill: Let’s go!

Ok, so he may have shown a wee bit of excitement at that very moment, because, hey, even if he was Chief, he was still a pilot and a damn good one, and hey, Nilsen could have this moment, he was going to be first at the helm on the Butler, and that thought brought him so much joy.
