It was an interesting first day of business. Fazek had crossed his arms in front of his chest, watching the chaos unfold in front of him: The Klingon was rampaging through the establishment, chairs flying, glasses smashing, every single item increasing the sum he would be able to demand as compensation.

And then - finally - two golden uniforms appearing at his entrance. Fazek only hesitated for a second at the sight of a Gorn and a... walking bear? The world was a strange place, but as a bartender he had seen more unsettling things.

Fazek: Ah, there you are!

He barely reached up the two officers' hips, but he compensated by stepping in their way with a determined expression.

Fazek: Gentlemen, this is a disgrace. Is this a way to greet a new business on your station?

S’zurak: Out of my way. ::pointing:: There’ss a sssituation --

A situation indeed. Fazek barely registered a Starfleet medical officer rushing by, taking care of the unconscious Klingon.

Nagazi: You are the owner of this establishment?

Fazek: That's right. And I want to file a complaint! The situation around here is nothing like it was advertised to me by the Commercial council.

S’zurak: If you do not move, you will become part of the sssituation.

Nagazi: What happened here?

Fazek: The events in my bar are of no concern to you. We have it all under control. You should be out there in the streets preventing people from getting crushed in this hideous parade!

He bared his teeth and gestured towards the street with a furious hiss.

Sylvax: Response?

But the giant lizard man did not seem to care. He simply stepped around Fazek and strode confidently towards the Klingon that was causing the commotion.

A bottle was hurled at him, but shattered harmlessly on his thick skin. Fazek gasped -

Fazek: That was true Saurian brandy! I will demand compensation!

Actually, it had been replicated Terran liquor, but who would be able to tell? When all this would be over, he was fairly sure the damage would outdo any surviving inventory. He rushed towards the medical officer, a humanoid - they usually were better talkers.

Fazek: You! You need to do something about this!

Sylvax: He’s breathing. If you want him breathing somewhere other than your floor, I suggest you let me work.

Only now he realised his mistake: The medical officers wasn't hu-man but a trill.

By now, the giant lizard had reached the furious Klingon.

S’zurak: Ssstop. ::unblinking:: You shame yourself. There is no honor for you today.

The Klingon snarled in response... something guttural, angry, slurred by alcohol. Now that Fazek took a proper look at him, he looked more disoriented than angry.

Suddenly, a Klingon voice spoke up next to him.

Sylvax:  yIyev. naDev vay’ bIHoHchugh, qaStaHvIS Dochvetlh bIqaSbe’.
(Stand down. If you kill someone here, what comes after will not beworth it.)

The bar went silent.

S’zurak: You sssurprise me, Lieutenant. Klingon?

Fazek shrieked.

Fazek: A Klingon conspiracy! I knew Starfleet was somehow involved in this!

Sylvax: I’m asking him to stand down. Calmly. And informing him that killing someone here isn’t worth the aftermath.

The Klingon hesitated. Then... slowly... his fists unclenched. Huh.

Fazek squinted, full of doubt and distrust, when the humanoid bear turned around towards him.

Nagazi: Is this man’s quarrel with you?

He raised both hands in defense.

Fazek: Ah, what do I know! Drunken customers, and Klingon too? They always have something worth fighting about. I was out on the street when it all happened! Ask your friend!

He pointed at the heaving crewman who looked as he rued the day he had arrived on this base.

S’zurak: Are you sssure it was unwarranted?

Fazek was about to let out another wave of anger and complaints, but he didn't get to start -

Nagazi: Sorry, Lieutenants. What is the situation here?

Fazek's gaze snapped towards the bear in disbelief. Was he dealing with the most incompetent personnel Starfleet had been able to summon?! He was being manipulated. Surely, it must be Grok, his old foe. He had been onto him ever since he had left Ferenginar.

S’zurak: What do you… mean?

Then, suddenly, the lizard winced, blinking and suddenly opening his eyes as if he had awakened from a long dream.

Sylvax: Response

Fazek: What is going on here?! ::his voice raising in fury:: I demand to speak to an officer of competence!

The bear snarled ever so slightly, but it was enough to come out as a threat. Fazek gasped - weren't these people supposed to keep everything in order?!

Nagazi: What is your problem, Ferengi?

He stepped up to the bear, pointing at him with a furious glare.

Fazek: ::hissing:: My problem... is the irreparable damage this will do on my business!

The lizard had moved.

S’zurak: ::pointing to the Klingon:: He is not leaving.

Sylvax: Responses

The Klingon roared and surged forward again. And then, it all happened way too fast.

Light flared.

The Klingon collapsed mid-stride, muscles locking as he struck the deck hard.

Fazek shrieked in terror -

Fazek: OPEN FIRE?! In MY BAR? ::he turned around towards the other officers:: DO something about this!

Sylvax/Nagazi: Responses

The lizard did not lower the weapon. He crouched instead, with a clawed hand pressing briefly against the Klingon’s neck. A pulse was strong and alive.

Fazek: I want you all out of my bar! Immediately! You CANNOT shoot my customers like that!

This was terrible. It needed to stop. He might as well pack his bags and leave this forsaken base once and for all, declaring 118's Quark lost grounds.

Sylvax/Nagazi: Responses

The lizard straightened slowly, seemingly not even noticing Fazek's complaints.

Instead, he reached down and seized the Klingon by the collar, hauling him across the floor. Broken glass crunched beneath the Gorn’s weight as he dragged him toward the wall, away from the open floor and doorways.

S’zurak: No one touchesss him.

Fazek: What, is he going to eat him now?!

Sylvax/Nagazi: Responses

The two remaining Klingons, who had been stunned by the sudden use of a phaser, seemed to remember they were still here - they straightened up and growled.

Klingon 1: What is he going to do! He has no right to detain him like this!

S'zurak: ?

Fazek: NO customer will be CONSUMED in my bar!! Do something about this!!

With an appalled expression, he turned around towards the bear, shoving him in the lizard's direction.

Sylvax/Nagazi/S'zurak/Any: Responses

Fazek: After this, you will be banned from the house! All of you!
