Sylvax: There’s a cetacean species out there... highly intelligent,
deeply communicative. A few of us were… invited, in a way.
Ysatch: ::awestruck:: Get out of town! But then get right back because I gotta hear more!
Tori's overactive imagination had already conjured up a million different scenarios for how this could have gone down. In one of them, the cetacean species was wearing a cravat and was extremely dignified.
Sylvax: Hard to say no to that.
Ysatch: That there's even an ability to respond at all is incredible.
Sylvax: First shore leave gathering can be a lot. You holding up alright so far?
Ysatch: Oh yeah, this is ... I mean this whole thing? ::exhales breath sharply:: Yeah, it's a lot. Out of all the oceans I've ever seen, this one is ... uh ... the second. Just taking everything in can be a bit overwhelming.
Sylvax: ?
Tori spared a quick glance at the horizon again, and once again got that brief sensation of vertigo in his stomach. It felt as though gravity was about to suddenly rotate its force 90 degrees and Tori was going to fall forever towards that infinite line of ocean and sky.
It was a familiar sensation that he had long since mastered during his time in San Francisco, where he had to see the Pacific Ocean almost every day. He let it pass through him and then it was gone.
Ysatch: I'm hoping to get the chance to up my ocean count soon. Perhaps on this upcoming mission everyone is being so secretive about?
Sylvax: ?
Ysatch: Sorry, just pre-mission jitters. Ensign Bingo was fun, but I'm very much ready to get to work.
