(( Exterior Hull - StarBase 118 ))
sh'Sonora: =/\= Yes please. Missus Starfleet Officer ma’am… you’re going to tell my parents, aren’t you? =/\=
Sol kept and eye on Mi'shune through the view port, shaking her head gently. She kept her voice calm.
McLaren: =/\= We'll cross that brridge when the time comes... =/\=
Munshi: =/\= No, Ensign. There are too many unresolved variables for a status report. For now, I need you to focus on the internal environment of your cabin. Is your oxygen mix stable? =/\=
sh’Sonora: =/\= Ummm… Starfleet? This isn’t Andoria. Where am I? =/\=
Munshi: =/\= You are at StarBase 118, a large spacedock complex located on the border between the Trinity Sector and the Serellan Sector at coordinates 20-08-10 =/\=
Sol frowned slightly. That might have been a bit blunt for a person there were trying to keep calm, whom didnt know where they were.
sh’Sonora: =/\= I’M IN THE WHAT SECTOR?! =/\=
sh’Sonora: =/\= ::hiccuped:: At least I’ll have an excuse for why I’ll be late for class. =/\=
Munshi: =/\= Class has been... rescheduled. Your only requirement right now is to remain stationary. =/\=
McLaren: =/\= Don't worry about that right now, Mi'shune. =/\=
sh’Sonora: =/\= You’re not mad at me, are you? I mean, I broke your space station and your runabout, but I honest to the gods don't remember how I got here! =/\=
Munshi: ::voice softening, despite the technical strain:: =/\= No one is mad, Ensign. We’re just performing a standard system recovery. Keep your hands away from the helm. I’ve got you. =/\=
McLaren: =/\= No one is mad Mi'shune. We're just worried about getting you out of there safely. =/\=
Munshi: =/\= Commander McLaren, I have a firm clamp on the ventral ribs. Counter-thrust is engaged. I'm holding her steady, but the structural resonance is climbing. How are those seals looking from your side? =/\=
Sol peered down around the runabout, using the trusterpack to shift her position slightly so she could see the other engineers down by the nacelle. They looked up and gave her an affirmative sign, which she simply returned to Alox.
sh’Sonora: =/\= Is anybody hurt? I didn’t mean to hurt anyone, really! Oh gods, this is heavy. =/\=
Sol shifted back to Mi'shune could better see her, moving closer to the runabouts cockpit.
McLaren: =/\= No one was hurt. Just some minor hull damage is all... everything is ok. =/\=
Munshi: =/\= We are holding, Ensign. Just stay with us. =/\=
Sol twisted around as something cast a shadow across her and the runabout, a sign of another work bee finally arriving. She looked back to Mi'shune.
McLaren: =/\= We'll have you out of there and back in the shuttle bay in no time. I'm just going to go direct things for a moment, but I'll be right back. =/\=
Sol triggered a few bursts from the thruster pack and maneuvered herself toward the other workbee. She made a few hand gestures to its pilot and pointed to the nacell cowling where the other two engineers were.
sh'Sonora: Response?
As the workbee shifted, Sol drived back toward the runabouts cockpit and actually perched herself on it as the workbee clamped itself near the nacelle providing even more stabilization. She magnetized her boots so she wasnt free floating anymore.
McLaren: =/\= Ok Mi'shune... Ensign Munshi and the other workbee are going to extract the runabout from where it lodged itself into the hull... it might be a little bumpy, but we've got you. =/\=
sh'Sonora: Response?
McLaren: =/\= Mmhmm... but we're going to need your help after that. The workbees arent meant to handle a heavy load within the artificial gravity of the Starbase... once youre clear of the hull you'll need to engage the runabout's automatic docking protocol. That will get you safely back into the shuttle bay... =/\=
She hoped that giving Mi'shune a task related to her piloting background would ground her even slightly.
sh'Sonora: Response?
Sol nodded to Mi'shune through the viewport and remained in her position.
McLaren: =/\= Ok, Ensign Munshi... lets do this nice and easy. We'll unhook the runabout from the hull and stabilize it so Mi'shune can initiate the docking protocol. =/\=
Munshi: Response?
McLaren: =/\= Alright on three. :: She took a small pause and breath :: One. :: beat. :: Two. :: beat. :: Three. =/\=
Munshi: Repsonse?
Sol remained in position on the nose of the runabout, her boots keeping her attached to the ships hull as she could feel it slowly extracted from where it had lodged in the hull. Sol kept an eye on everything. She could see the two engineers down near the nacell monitoring their progress, each giving hand signals to the workbees as the nacelle was carefully worked free of the station's hull. There was some groaning and creating as duranium scraped across duranium, but nothing out of the ordinary. She could feel the ship eventually free floating from the station as the engineers gave her a thumbs up, as the ship was moved clear of the gash.
McLaren: =/\= Ok Mi'shune... the runabout is free of the hull. Ensign Munshi and the other workbee are going to decouple... then you can engage the docking protocol. =/\=
As she spoke, the most recent workbee to arrive decoupled itself from the runabout and drifted to a safe distance, giving it a clear path back into the bay.
sh'Sonora/Munshi: Response?
McLaren: =/\= I'll be right here the whole way. =/\=
She had no intention of leaving her position on the nose of the runabout until it had landed back in the bay.
sh'Sonora/Munshi: Response?
