((Bridge, Deck 1, USS Enterprise NCC-1701))
Madison was in a sense surprised that neither Commodore Taybrim and Lieutenant Commander Fairhug had not passed the Kobayashi Maru either. Was it truly impossible for anyone to pass the exam? Was there not even the slightest of chances to be victorious? It was possible that there was no way to win, but she figured that she would ask the question anyways.
Marsh: Was anyone ever victorious in saving the crew of the Kobayashi Maru?
Fairhug: ::nodding:: Only one person has ever beaten it…officially, anyway.
Taybrim: Oh yes, the legend himself.
Fairhug: I’m a fan of Kirk’s philosophy, if not his methods.
She did not appear to be surprised that Captain Kirk had been victorious in the simulation. He had at least made the victory happen instead of accepting defeat. Even though it was considered cheating, it was an impressive original thought to say the least.
Marsh: Why am I not surprised that Captain Kirk was victorious?
Taybrim: But you are still breathing Ensign. As is Commander Fairhug. I say that calls for a celebration!
Fairhug: Well, what do you say we go and discuss this over a bottle of Saurian brandy?
Taybrim: I think that is a fabulous idea! And I even know where to get a very good one. ::he turned towards Marsh:: Well, Ensign, are you game?
She smiled and nodded her head in agreement with Commodore Taybrim. A drink did not hurt, especially if it was in the company of the Commodore and his Number One. Madison would love to join the group for the evening. She provided Taybrim with a wink and a thumbs up signifying her agreement with the plan.
Marsh: Always sir.
