Ryden stepped into Brew Continuum, letting the ambient hum of
conversation and the rich aroma of roasted beans wash over him. He
scanned the room for a free table and spotted a young officer near the
counter. He recognized him as one of the new ensigns.

Sylvax: Good morning. You’re Ensign Munshi, right?

Munshi: ?

Sylvax: Sylvax. Ryden Sylvax. Medical. ::He gestured to the empty
chair across from him:: Mind if I join you?

Munshi: ?

Ryden slid into the seat, keeping his tone light. He noted the neat,
precise way Munshi handled the datapad, fingers moving with the care
of someone used to machinery and engineering schematics rather than
just notes.

Sylvax: So, first shoreleave on Starbase 118?

Munshi: ?

Sylvax: I remember that feeling. Took me a few months to stop getting
lost in the corridors. What do you think of the station so far?

Munshi: ?

Sylvax: ::smiling:: That’s a good sign. Shoreleave isn’t just about
the tech; it’s about people, too. Have you found a favorite spot yet?

Munshi: ?

Sylvax: Good choice. I come here when I want to disconnect for a bit.
