((Bridge, Deck 1, USS Enterprise NCC-1701))

At that moment, the helm console exploded in a shower of sparks, just as the Science officer’s station had moments ago.

Employing every ounce of acting ability he had, Gogi turned and threw himself to the floor.

Madison watched as the helm console literally exploded due to an electrical overload in a similar fashion to how the Science station imploded seconds ago. She sighed heavily as Gogi threw himself to the floor, perhaps he would win an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor due to his performance during the simulation. She approached the captain's chair and pressed on the intercom.

Marsh: Ready the escape pods and send out the log buoy. All hands abandon ship, I repeat all hands abandon ship.

Fairhug: ::rolling onto his back:: Computer, end program.

The ship was clearly destroyed and she was not successful in accomplishing the mission laid out for her in the simulation. Either the simulation difficulty was set to high or she was not fit to be in command yet. Perhaps it could be a mixture of both? She saw the holodeck return to its boring pre-program state. Madison glanced downward at Gogi on the ground.

Marsh: You're alive.

Fairhug: How do *you* think you did?

Madison paused for a moment reflecting on the simulation. Perhaps there were opportunities where she could have been better, but that comes with experience. There was a first time for everything and it was great practice in approaching an arduous situation.

Marsh: The program must have been set on maximum difficulty and I clearly failed to achieve the mission objective Commander.

She extended her hand downward to help number one up to his feet.

Fairhug: ::laughing:: Quite the opposite, actually. Were you aware that this is a no-win scenario?

A smirk formed on her lips, but with an expression of humor on her face to lighten the mood.

Marsh: I was not aware prior to participating, but it sure fits the category of being a no-win scenario.

She heard the entrance to the holodeck open and turned to see who it was entering the room. It was none other than the Commanding Officer of Starbase 118 and the Narendra, Commodore Sal Taybrim. Perhaps he was there to meet with Commander Fairhug since he was his main supervisor.

Fairhug/Taybrim: Responses

Madison provided Taybrim with a casual wave in acknowledgement of his presence. She was polite in addressing him and acted casual like no simulation failure had occurred prior to his entrance. Hopefully she did not embarrass herself in front of Sal.

Marsh: Welcome sir, I hope that you are doing well.

Fairhug/Taybrim: Responses

She perked an eyebrow and there was a tone of curiosity evident in her voice. She was surprised that he took the time to watch her performance. Perhaps she could at least get feedback from another experienced veteran.

Marsh: Wait, you observed the entire simulation? Any suggestions Commodore?

Fairhug/Taybrim: Responses
