((Hangar, Landing City, Capricalia))

They began to walk around the ship. It wouldn’t take long for the Andorian to check the outside.

Wethern: How frequently do you vessels encounter pirates?

Femorr: At first, the pirates would hide in ambush. The raids were infrequent. But lately, they have grown in confidence. We are experiencing several confrontations a week now.

He stated all of this very matter-of-factly. It had become a way of life for the Capricalians.

sh’Sonora: Response

Willow: I apologize on behalf of the Federation, that we were unable to intervene earlier.

The male nodded.

Wethern: Must be tough getting supplies through.

Femorr: Indeed. As you can see ::holding his hand up to indicate the Theirr:: our defences are somewhat lacking. Though our pilots do the best job they can with what they have.

Willow: We are grateful for any provisions you have provided us.

sh’Sonora: ?

They had walked a full circle around the ship and now the ramp descended in front of them.

Edan began to ascend into the ship first, with his hands clasped behind his back.

The interior was dark and the air was stale. To say it lacked creature comforts would be a gross understatement. The chairs were hard and the instruments and consoles were a dark grey colour, with black screens and red symbols adorning them.
It was all very… Romulan.

Femorr: Welcome aboard the Theirr. She is probably quite… different to what you are used to, I’m sure.

Willow: I am used to a great many things. I am sure we are all more than capable of adapting. What you have provided us is more than enough.

Wethern: I piloted a type 6 shuttle in a race literally held together with a ration pack. ::Corey paused:: that is a story for a different time.

sh’Sonora: Response

Edan ran his long fingers along one of the consoles as he slinked around the tiny cockpit awkwardly, having to bend his head slightly to avoid it from hitting the ceiling.

Femorr: Feel free to do whatever checks you deem necessary, Ensign.

Wethern: Nice and cost I am sure we will all get to know each other quickly.

sh’Sonora: Response

Edan looked at them each in turn with a curious expression on his face.

Femorr: I’m sorry, you’re under the impression that I’m… coming with you?

Wethern: Well it is one of your vessels, I wasn't sure whether you would have one of your staff supervise us.

sh’Sonora: Response

Willow: I am under no such impression myself. The space provided, while adequate, is not nearly large enough for four people.

The Capricalian laughed. It was a strange, throaty laugh that sounded almost painful.

Femorr: That will not be possible, I’m afraid. ::holding his long arms out to illustrate his point:: This ship was designed for only two people. As it is, you will not have the most comfortable flight, but with me onboard as well? ::he chuckled again:: No, I will remain here.

Willow: Then we shall remain in communication.

Wethern: I understand completely. Could you transfer us your communications frequencies so that we can keep you updated of any pirate contacts.

sh’Sonora: Response

Femorr: You will have access to our communications, of course. If there are any problems, we are here to help.

He said this last statement with a slight smirk on his face. If looks could speak, this one would have said, “Let’s see how you like it.”

Willow: Yes, that is reasonable. Thank you for keeping communication open.

Wethern: Anything we need to know before we depart? Ensign are you happy with your pre-flight checks.

sh’Sonora: Response

Femorr: I am sure highly trained Starfleet personnel will be more than capable. Now, do you have any further questions before I disembark?

Willow: I do not. Wethern? sh’Sonora?

Edan cast an inquisitive eye over them all, in an effort to try to gauge their individual and collective constitution.

Wethern: Nothing from me, keen to see what she can do.

sh’Sonora: Response

Femorr: You have brought your own supplies with you?

Willow: They have been left in the back incase they are needed.

Wethern: We have emergency equipment as well if needed.

Femorr: I hope, for your sake, that it is not.

sh’Sonorar: Response

Willow: Then we shall be on our way. I’ll be in communication if any need arises.

Edan nodded and bowed solemnly, his lanky frame bending at the hips, before turning and slinking out of the cockpit, down the ramp and back out into the hangar.

He turned and looked back at the Theirr, peering through the darkened windows at the shadowy figures moving about on the inside.

As he did so, one of the guards sidled up to him.

Guard: What do you make of them, Sub-Commander?

Edan sighed, still observing the Starfleeters as he spoke.

Femorr: They’re an odd bunch, but I do believe they have good intentions. Hopefully experiencing things from our point of view will make them see just how serious our situation is.

Guard: I hope so, Sir.

Edan looked at the guard with something akin to a smile on his face.

Femorr: We’ll find out soon enough.

END scene for Femorr (for now)
