((Ivalyan's Quarters))
When Ivalyan told her mom about the party, she had said that getting out socially would be a good thing.
N'Sran: You KNOW staying cooped up isn't right, darling. We're a social species.
Ivalyan just nodded.
N'Sran: Promise me you'll go?
Ivalyan: I p-promise, m-m-mom.
N'Sran flashed a toothy smile, her teeth even brighter than her glowing green eyes. They said their good byes, and Ivalyan sat on her bed. Okay. she could do this. Pop in for a drink, a hello, and be out. What should she wear? She almost grabbed her blue suit again, before her eyes fell to a dress her parent's had gotten for her ages ago.
oO Well....it is eye catching. You can't hide in that. Oo
With a surge of bravery from...somewhere, she grabbed it and started to change.
((Deck 499, Starlight Ballroom))
The dress was black, a deep color that threatened to swallow you. Woven through were small neon fibers, giving it a striking series of bright glowing blue patterns. You can't hide if everyone can see you, her dad had said.
The doors opened and she immediately saw Ryden glance her way hopefully. Clearly not what he was looking for, he turned back to his company. The room was amazing. Hanging for a minute, she thought she could watch the ships moving around the station forever. Shaking her head, she glanced around for anyone she really knew, and made a beeline for the bar instead.
Ivalyan: Two bloodwines, unless you have any chech'tluth instead?
The bartender blanched and handed two glasses of bloodwine over with a raised eyebrow. With a grimace, Ivalyan poured one of the glasses down her throat and set it down with a small burp. She nodded thanks and looked for a corner where she could drink her bloodwine, then hide and die.
