((Main Sickbay, Deck 505, Family and General Practice Care, Starbase 118))
Haukea wiggled her newly healed nose, testing the mobility, though semi limited due to it, well, being a nose, along with the way it felt. The structure, bone and cartilage, seemed brand new, brought back to an injury free state. Haukea was glad of this, finally free of the burning sensation that had consumed the inner portion of the appendage.
Now, continuing a topic of conversation that was not medically oriented, Haukea carried on with her desire to take Madison Marsh out on a first, highly romantically oriented, date. The chipper Risian woman even indicated her wish to collect Madison at her apartment at the time of the date. This comment had surprised Madison, as the location, across from Haukea’s, was mentioned. Haukea, being a security officer herself, had been given the ability to find personnel locations.
Marsh: How did you know that I live across from you?
Willow: Of course I looked it up. I have the power. Anyway…I’ll see you then as planned. Unless you have other ideas.
Haukea, being who she was, brushed past the stalker-ish aspect of her comment, not realizing the implication it presented to the woman across from her.
Marsh: Do you work in security by chance?
Willow: Yes. Yes! Worked in security before Starfleet too.
Haukea knew Madison was listening, knew the woman was willing to hold on to her every word. However, a notification on her PADD distracted her.
Marsh: That makes sense now that you would know that information. I was getting a little weirded out for a second there. Anyways, I have an appointment coming up, so I need to focus on that.
Haukea, being a social butterfly, along with her affection towards the beautiful doctor, was equal parts disappointed and understanding at the conversation coming to an end.
Willow: I understand. I’ll see you later?
Pausing to analyze information on her data PADD, Madison pivoted off her back heel to turn, facing Haukea, smile across her face. Observing the way Madison’s smile appeared radiant, Haukea couldn’t help smiling in equal measure. .
Marsh: Come by my apartment tomorrow at 18:00. See you then and try not to break your nose again.
Willow: Oh I won’t ever do that on purpose.
With that Haukea skipped away, elated that her masterful plan, sneaking in her proposal for a date, in between the medical necessities, had been successful. Now she merely had to perfect the itinerary for her date the following day.
