((Si’Laan Migration Ship - Engineering))

The Si’laan was a beautiful ship, and something Neeya hadn’t seen before. The way organic components found place in metallic structures, and how the two seemed to complete each other.  The Trill wondered how the Risu society had not developed away from incorporating nature into their day, as so many other species had.

And then she wondered how they would react to someone like Y’zyr. Suddenly she was glad that he had’t come with them - it really could go two ways. Either he would be considered a marvel and an embodiment of what seemed Risu philosophy, or he would be called an abomination. They should probably warn people before he beamed over.

And then she was wondering if the other Trill faced that reaction often, only because he had a few… mechanical enhancements. Neeya didn’t mind. And everyone who was intend on being a jerk to him would be thrown out of an airlock.

oO Wow. No idea where *that* just came from… Better concentrate on the actual Problem. Oo

Velix: So what *is* our priority?

Hael: Happy to take yer lead. Stabilizin’ yer core migh’n be a good point too.

Ya’faemi: ?

Velix: Hey don’t ask me, I am not an engineer. I am just here to say smart stuff. But! I think the smart thing would be what Ya’faemi said.

Rustyy nodded and smiled, and Neeya was once more happy that he was so easy-going.

Ya’faemi: ?

A sound like an alarm sounded as they neared what he assumed was the main computer. Their engine room was quite different from that of the Rahuba, but just as chaotic.

Hael: Wha’s wrong?

Ya’Faemi:

Velix: Ah. Yeah. That sucks.

She had basically hoped that the leakage she had discovered earlier was nothing, but if gas was leaking into the core, it would explain some of the other problems. And it very quickly answered their question as to what had priority right now with ‘this does.’

Hael: Velix, see ‘bout their shieldin’ an’ see ‘bout stoppin’ any more interference fer the core.

Velix: Yes sir.

Hael: Show me were yer core readouts be, an’ do ya got’a manual override or purgin’ system?

Ya’faemi: ?

Neeya quickly made her way to one of the consoles and knelt down to get a good look at them. The closest memory she had to something like this was when they had stolen a Cardassian vessel and tried to make sense of the controls. Aside the fact that she wondered who had decided that Cardassian User Interface should be pink and turquoise, she had cursed the fact that none of the buttons was labelled. And why did they have their weird symbol everywhere?

This was much the same, but luckily a lot easier to understand. A warp core was, at it’s core, still a warp…. core. It might have taken about twice as long as it should have, but eventually the Ensign managed to modulate the shields to keep any further foreign material from leaking into the core.

Velix: Done.

Hael: response

Ya’faemi:response

Velix: So, wait… does that mean we have to clean it out manually?

She had seen that done. Once. It had been spooky.

Ya’faemi: response

Hael: response
