((Mount Val’neris, Laikan District, StarBase 118))
Taybrim: Well, if you’re up for a challenge I have been meaning to try the skydiving. ::Taybrim always had a love for extreme sports.:: Though if the last mission was stressful and you wanted something a little less intense there’s Andorian kol’kaatan which is like tobogganing I think.
While he had no intention to pressure anyone into doing anything, Sal Taybrim was a man of intense charisma and presence. Moreso now that he had a massive rank and responsibility to back that up.
Though Sal was pretty sure that a few of his oldest friends would agree that Ensign Taybrim had a presence about him as well.
So while he never really meant to pressure Madison into trying the more extreme sport, he was hoping she would try it. Focus on the positive – if she liked it she could bring others back here and if it wasn’t her favorite she could also come back and try the tobogganing.
Marsh: Um, let’s go do skydiving! However, it’s going to be hard to catch up much in free fall if you know what I mean.
Ah, he had already thought of that.
Taybrim: Then at the bottom of the mountain there’s a chalet where we can chat.
An adrenaline rush followed by a nice relaxing mug of warm beverage. He would have a hard time thinking of a better combination.
Marsh: Lead the way sir.
Sal waved her forward, taking some time to bask in the perfect, fluffy light snowfall.
Taybrim: It’s a short walk this way. And while we stroll we can catch up.
Marsh: So ::short pause:: How long in total did you serve here on 118?
Oh my. His dark eyes drifted upwards as he recollected.
Taybrim: Nine years. Nine wonderful years!
He grinned, more than pleased to be back. Raskor II was lovely, but this was still home.
Marsh: That’s a long time! Have you seen everything on 118 by now?
He smirked, placing one gloved finger to his lips as he smiled.
Taybrim: Everything? No. But I made it my mission to seek out and find most everything that was unique or local or interesting.
Marsh: ?
He considered this.
Taybrim: One of my very favorites is the Klingon Operahouse in the Qo’noS district. They will get in some truly amazing travelling acts. I highly recommend it.
Marsh: ?
Taybrim: What’s your favorite place that you have found so far?
He was equally curious as to what was new or what others thought was special that he might have overlooked.
Marsh: ?
Taybrim: Really? Fantastic! I don’t think I have ever been there.
Marsh: ?
The approached the cliffside where a nicely crafted building overhung the skydiving area. Beneath them was open sky, beautiful gently falling snow and a wild ride.
Well, skydiving was probably not the most accurate term. Windsurfing or sky surfing. It was a clever Andorian skimmer design that allowed one to jump and be supported by wings you wore on a harness and to ride downwards in a not-quite freefall.
Taybrim: Well, here we are… are you ready?
Marsh: ?
