She told herself her parents would be happy. She'd at least seen a huge portion of the crew shmoozing by a table together, and even nodded at Ryden at one point. Social obligations met! She downed the last of her fifth bloodwine. oO At least it's not replicated...Oo
She strode towards the doors, heels clicking with each step. She kept her eyes glued to her toes and made it to the door when she walked into a brick wall and spilled onto the floor.
Ivalyan: Wha....
She blinked at a rainbow made of sharp points and edges was held out to her.
S'zurak: Response?
Ivalyan: Sz-sz...s-s-s...::gulping:: Lieutenant! I'm so s-s-sorry...
oO Why does their name have so many 's's'??? Oo
She grabbed the hand and got to her feet, blushing furiously. She looked at the Gorn, and smiled. Honestly, it was nice being eye to eye with someone for once.
S'zurak: Response?
Ivalyan: No I umm, I wasn't l-leaving. Just...::deflating:: I was leaving.
S'zurak: Response?
She winced, but... well. She should actually try, right?
Ivalyan: Yeah, ok-kay. I think I saw everyon-ne else over that way...
S'zurak: Response?
