Wethern: My memory seems to be unaffected, well for now at least.

Drex: My last clear memory was retiring for the night in my mother’s home on Denobula. I have no recollection of arriving here. However, procedural knowledge remains intact. The memories appear present, access to them is impaired.

Voss: We suspect the memory loss could be linked to some kind of artifact that’s putting out a signal that disrupts brain waves. Where were you when you noticed something was wrong?

Anethra furrowed her brown and looked behind her for a moment, and thhen just pointed in a general direction.

Anethra: That way.

Voss: ::to Wethern and Drex:: We should run the ferroniobium scan while we have access to the terminal, but after that, maybe we should try to track down where... ::to the Rekarian:: sorry, what’s your name?

Anethra: Anethra.

Voss: Right, hi. I’m Lyra. ::back to Wethern and Drex:: Maybe we can track down where Anethra was when this started? It’ll be useful information for the heat map, at the very least.

Drex: My name is Drex ::To Anethra::

Even the ones with their memories affected, like her, seemed to know somethings by heart, even if their minds told them they didnt. She wondered if there was anything like that for her.

Drex: There’s any medical explanation to this?

Wethern: I'm Corey, I'm one of the medical officers. might be muscle memory or plugging into something in your subconscious.

Anethra simply nodded in greet to Corey, not seeing herselff as completely relevent to their conversation.

Drex: Not immediately. But we can start by scanning the local ferroniobium flux. It should give us a preliminary map of signal intensity across the station.

Wethern: We should be able to start narrow down at least the location.

Anethra: You'll really be able to do that?

Voss: ?

Drex: Scan initiated. It will take a few minutes to render a full heat map. In the meantime, we can begin cross-referencing the memory disruption reports with station layout data. Every data point we collect will improve our probability of isolating the source.

Wethern: So anyone seen any good holonovels recently?

Anethra shook her head. Even if she had, she probably wouoldnt have remembered it.

Anethra: No. Not that I remember anyway.

Voss: ?

The architect leaned closer, eyes narrowing as the heat map began to fill with flickering points of light.

Drex: The scan’s picking up a few irregularities... These could be interference nodes or at least areas where the signal is strongest.

Wethern: That under carrier wave there.

Anethre peered at the screen that the medical officer was pointing at. It was all just a mess of lines and symbols to her. She tilted her head tot he side.

Drex/Voss: ?

Wethern: That looks like the same signal from a neural stimulator for a Vulcan.

She did share some similarities with Vulcans. Was that why she had been affected?

Anethra: Is that why you arent affected?

Drex/Voss: ?

Wethern: No human brains don't have any area that responds to it. It's similar to a gallbladder for us. We can easily live without it and it isn't in use much.

That made sense. He didn't have one of those.

Drex/Voss: ?

Wethern: Where is it coming from?

She looked at the screen again. Even to her she couold tell it looked like it was coming fromt he direction she had come from.

Anethra: Ive never been too good at directions... but that looks like the way I came from.

Drex/Voss: ?

The group started to move off and she hesitated for a moment. She wasn't sure if she should follow. After waffling for a few moments, she followed after the group staying close, even as the rain began to ebb a bit.

Anethra: Does this happen often on this station?

Wethern/Drex/Voss: Response?

She nodded slightly, though didnt seem all that at ease.

Anethra: Thats... good to know. I think.

Wethern/Drex/Voss: Response?

Anethra: I wish I could tell you more... maybe Ill recognize something when we get closer...

Wethern/Drex/Voss: Response?
