((Beach - Raskor II))
Taybrim: Gathered friends, faces new and old. I want to welcome you all to Raskor II, and to this celebration of your accomplishments. ::he placed a hand on his chest:: I am humbled and thrilled to be able to share this time with you. However, to start I do want to let you know that Captain Fairhug did arrive on Bardeez safe and sound, and the Bardeezan doctors were able to apply the memory recovery that our medical staff pioneered. He hopes to return soon, once he is fully recovered. He shares his well wishes and pride at your accomplishments. I promise I will pass on any communications I receive from him.
Haukea who, operating with ethereal grace, had positioned herself within the middle of the gathered crowd, latched on to the inhale and exhale between each of Taybrim’s words. Though disappointed at the cancellation of a timely reunion with her dear, kindly friend, Gogigobo, it was pleasing to hear, despite the afflictions that befell him, that he was recovering well.
Taybrim: But let me turn towards those present. I want to start by welcoming back Lieutenant Haukea-Willow, our Chief of Security, and Lieutenant S’zurak, our tactical officer. You both missed quite the interesting mission, and we’re very glad you are back!
S’zurak: ::S’zurak stood and raised a clawed hand:: Thank you all. I would not rather be anywhere elssse. ::Turning to Haukea:: And it is very good to have you back with us.
The Risian rose, waving smartly, twisting from the wrist in a royal fashion - having acquired several new unique habits from a recent visitation with her “siblings.” Nevertheless, Haukea, after exhausting the length of water sport activities, family dinners and inquisitive questions while on Risa, was, in some way, relieved, to be returning to her position as Chief of Security.
Willow: Risa may be home, however Starbase 118 is the family I could never have asked for. It's a pleasure to be back. You couldn’t hear the end of the cussin’ from my cousin Lani.
Foster: Welcome back, both of you!
Taybrim: Now, onto official welcome, starting with Ensign Alok Munshi, you joined the crew of StarBase 118 during the New Year’s awards ceremonies and while it is quite overdue, I could not let you get away without an official welcome!
Munshi: Response
Taybrim: I am thrilled that you are here to join us again, and I’m glad you were able to help the crew out on the last mission.
Munshi: Response
Engineering, according to roster data logs, had been severely absent of consistent personnel, including a chief officer, Hael having formerly filed for an extended LOA, for a year or more. So, despite the lack of a personal introduction, Haukea-Willow was pleased, applauding, to welcome Munshi to the crew. Hopefully they were quick on their feet.
Ross: Welcome to the show!
Foster: Welcome, Ensign!
Willow: Glad to have you.
Taybrim: And StarBase 118 has been particularly fortunate with our incoming Engineers, for not only do we have Ensign Munshi, but we also officially welcome Ensign A’Mayri!
The popularity of engineering held steady population growth, expanding from its previous single individual, a human male, to a female Vulcan hybrid. Not that Haukea had any significant skill worth contributing in the area, she was pleased, a broad grin plastered upon her cheeks, to welcome another engineer to their ranks.
A’Mayri: ::respectful bow of her head:: Thank you sir, and to all the crew. It is an honor and privilege.
Taybrim: I could not have asked for a better graduating class to join our ranks!
A’Mayri: My fellow graduate and I are eager to provide support.
Willow: The more the merrier.
Several whooping cheers rose from the entourage, signaling anticipated pleasure at the following announcement. Haukea herself merely remained seated, having retaken it after her own welcome and kind words, mentally scheduling individual introductions with Munshi and A’Mayri, along with any further newly arrived individuals.
Taybrim: And in saying that, let me officially welcome your fellow graduate Ysatch Tori, our new Communications and Operations officer!
Ysatch: :: smiling his most normal smile :: Thank you sir, very excited to join the crew.
Taybrim: I am very excited to have you both with us on Ops and I know you will both be fantastic additions to the crew for our upcoming missions.
Ysatch: For anyone I haven't had the chance to meet yet, let's chat soon! Tonight! Not now, after this! I'm going to stop talking now.
Foster: Welcomes to the both of you!
A Bajoran male with a predisposition for long talks was a friend to Haukea, who out of uniform, was one to ramble an ear off; as such she joined in the raucous whistling with acclamations of her own.
Taybrim: And now let me propose a toast, to the crew of StarBase 118 Ops. To the seasoned officers who guide with experience and wisdom, to old friends who we have shared many adventures with together. To the experienced officers who lead though passion and energy, who are growing and learning and become a bridge between old and new. To friends who we are growing close to. And to our newest officers, bring new ideas, new skills and bright new futures to the team. New friends who fill us with excitement and energy. To all of you. Thank you for sharing this evening.
Ysatch: Here here!
Sylvax: To all of you.
Voss: To 118!
Ross: Cheers, guys.
McLaren: Welcome all!
A’Mayri: To future endeavors.
Foster: Cheers to an amazing crew!
S’zurak: To the hunt ahead. Together.
Willow: Stay gold! ::Haukea, lemonade glass in hand, drowned a large mouth full::
