::As welcomes and introductions were made Sal settled back to do something he enjoyed – embarrass his crew by handing out awards. He grinned merrily, sipping on his drink.::

Taybrim: Next I would like to recognize the work done by our crew in the past mission. I know it was a strange mission, but I would like the planetside targ hunting teams to come up. Commander Kasun, Ensign Braddock, Lieutenant Maxwell, Ensign Avran, Commander Nijil, Lieutenant Valentino, and Mr. Flynn – you all served gallantly whether that was facing down targ or traps in an ancient Klingon ruin, your conduct impressed out Klingon hosts and gained valuable information as well as saving the lives of a valuable ally. For this, I recognize your good work by awarding you the Good Conduct Ribbon.

Taybrim: Thank you all again, you have proven yourselves to be the best officer sin the fleet and I could not ask for a better, stronger crew.

Taybrim: Commander Elspeth, Counselor Daniels, Commander Trel’lis and Commander Aitas – you ascended a mountain to work some diplomatic magic with our Klingon allies. In return we discovered some very important information and solidified our alliance. For your good work both in diplomacy and in targ hunting I award you with the Peacekeeper Service Ribbon.

Taybrim: You are the best group of diplomats I have known and I know I can trust you with the mission to some. Thank you all so much for your hard work.

Taybrim: Ensign Reema Poq, please join me. ::he smiled at the young officer.:: Ensign, your quick thinking and medical knowledge saved the lives of your fellow crew both from targs and from violence on the planet. For your quick thinking and medical expertise, I award you with the lifesaving ribbon.

Taybrim: Ensign, you have done well on your first mission and made me proud. I am so happy you joined our medical team and I look forward to working with you in the future!

Taybrim: The Marines have always been a bedrock of StarBase 118, and I am always looking for ways to strengthen the connection between the marine forces and our starfleet officers. I am happy to announce that Starfleet command and Admiral Hauke have approved a role of marine liaison officer to bridge the gap between the two sectors. I have chosen Major Dal as this liaison officer due to his experience in both marine and Starfleet service.

Dal: Thank you, Captain ::The Andorian tipped his antennae forward.

Taybrim: ::Smiling:: Don’t thank me yet, Major. ::dark eyes sparkled.:: This role comes with a promotion, and a shift to the Starfleet side of things. So as of this moment, Commander, I would like to welcome you to our team and give you the podium to make the next few announcements.

::Major – now, Commander Dal flushed a slightly dark blue but stepped forward speaking with soft, gentle tones.::

Dal: As many of you know we lost a tremendously good commanding marine officer when Major Tatash moved to follow Captain Whittaker. I have always felt my role was best as a liaison and not a commander, but I have in the recent months found a tremendous commanding officer who I believe will fill Major Tatash’s very large shoes and keep leading the 292nd with honor and pride. I am so pleased to promote Captain Kro to Major, with all the rights and privileges of that rank.

::Ishreth Dal’s antennae tipped forward in a smile as he offered a golden start to the Tandaran officer.::

Dal: I have always been impressed with your leadership skills, Major. And I am so happy to confirm you as the newest Marine commanding officer of the 292nd regiment of StarBase 118.

::Major Dal looked up at the crowd and took in a long, slow breath.::

Dal: Of course this leave a hole in the Archangels – the SARS team which someone needs to fill. Lieutenant Valentino, would you please come forward.

Valentino: ?

Dal: Lieutenant you did a good job leading a team on Tumar II. You have taken initiative and showed compassion and concern for your fellow crew. Now I am trusting you to do the same for a much larger group of marines. As of this moment I am promoting you to the rank of Marine Captain with all the rights and responsibilities therein, and the leader of the Archangels SARS team of StarBase 118.

Valentino: ?

Taybrim: I am excited to have you working with us, Marine Captain. And I have faith that you will make Commander Dal proud!

::As the applause died down Sal retook the podium::

Taybrim: I would like Ensign Avran to please join me.

Avran: ?

Taybrim: Ensign, I’ve been continually impressed with you since you have joined our senior staff. You did a great job on Tumar II, and you’ve been a strong officer since you have arrived. It is my pleasure to announce your advancement to the rank of Lieutrenant junior grade, and the position of assistant head of Engineering.

Avran: ?

Taybrim: You have a lot of people you can lean on if you need help, but I am sure you will continue to do a wonderful job ::he said with warm confidence.::

Avran: ?

Taybrim: I would like to give one last thank you to everyone. You are all a fantastic crew, and I hope you all take this opportunity to relax, enjoy the beach, the food and the drinks and have a great night!
