(OOC I’m so sorry for the cluster writing. That is not the way to write and keep up. I’m sorry for everyone waiting on me. Every week here lately has been acclimating to a new schedule and I think it’s finally set! Phew who knew driving school buses was so much work. ))

((Miranda VII - Somewhere out of sight))

When there weren’t a lot of options, then the most outrageous and crazy ones were all that were left. And nijil was neither opposed or lacking in doing the most questionable of ones. Last time he was on the base he’d fully engaged in the first shots fired in one of the docking bays. There were times Starfleet training was too gentle.

An idea occurred to him though, separate and give them something to chase while the others finished the mission. WHat was left of it anyways. And what was more enticing than an alien among Terran’s? It was crazy and there’d likely be a fight by the end of it. But it gave Sol and Blackwell a chance. And they had to take it. There were only so many large powers they could fend off at one time.

Nijil: We’re not going to find anyone to talk to at this rate. What if we split up? I can go, ::he pulled off his hat.:: They’ll be interested in going after me before you two. This’ll give you a chance to make contact with someone with answers.

McLaren: Are you nuts? They're more likely to kill you at this point than they are to capture you…

While he appreciated Sol’s concern, there was just as high a chance of capture. Terra Prime was notorious for the death of aliens, but not before they attempted to gather intel.

Blackwell::She glanced to Nijil as they walked:: Sol’s right - they were ready just to shoot us rather than ask us questions just now.

Nijil: But they didn’t shoot first ::he pointed out.:: And while I appreciate your worry :he looked to Sol, his tone conveyed his equal concern.:: We aren’t going to get anywhere as is

McLaren: Then convince me Nijil... because right now, with the atmosphere of this station... I doubt anyone wants to talk for fear of ending up on the bad side of a disruptor or worse... and Im about 10 seconds away from saying we should get in our shuttle and leave. Before any of us get killed on a fools errand.

He nodded. That wasn’t the worst idea and he didn’t fully disagree either.

Blackwell: I’ll hear the argument too…::She frowned faintly, not wanting a failed mission, but not wanting anyone endangered either:::

Nijil: ::he sighed.:: For all the work that we’ve done here - not just today but through the years- we cannot let another power become established. We have to find out who is in charge and what they're doing. We need to find out as much as we can. You can’t let vermin get out of control or we’ll never keep Ops safe.

Simple yet not. They had to keep Ops safe. For too long and hard they worked to rid themselves of the infestation. They didn’t have room to second guess. Not really. Not after those that changed sides for the Cult of Molor. It was clear then that ideas could easily manipulate others.

McLaren: And then what Nijil? Its not as if we could easily get you out if you do end up caught... even if we do find a person willing to talk.

Blackwell: Look, we can’t give up entirely just yet ::There were risks...but they had to make a gain. Somehow::

He looked at Sol with one of those obnoxious half looks that said “oh? I think you’d find a way”

Nijil: I trust you to try you best to rescue me as much as I’ll try not to get caught.

McLaren: Fine... if we actually want to accomplish what we came here to do I guess its our only choice... just do your best to not end up dead... Id hate to lose a friend... I have so few of them.

He nodded. The feeling was mutual. It’s not like friends came a dime a dozen for someone like him. Not we’re there very many who he trusted as much on a mission with.

Blackwell::She looked to Nijil and perhaps in the most overt act she’d ever taken towards him, she pointed her fingers at his chest, making contact with the tips of her fingers:: Make sure you come back -alive-.

Another nod, this one directed at Blackwell - Rue. He was a lot of things that Terra Prime was against. An alien with a Terran girlfriend - soon possibly more than that. But that was thought for another time less dangerous.

McLaren: If things go wrong... make your way back to the ship... and wait for us.

Nijil: I will.

Blackwell: You can lecture me later ::She exhaled and looked towards Sol:: We should get off the promenade quickly, and find somewhere to look for information.

Nijil: I’ll keep to the outer parts of the station, keep them from you while making sure I don’t get easily boxed in.

Blackwell::She glanced towards Nijil::we’ll see you later.. ::She wouldn’t say good bye or good luck…. She turned and headed along with Sol::

Nijil: Until then.

One last nod as he fixed his hair and made sure it was obvious he didn’t exactly belong there, while keeping just out of sight to not make it obvious he was a distraction.
