((Bridge – IKS Yan/ MV Serenity))

There was something peaceful about flying while cloaked in that no one could see you and therefore no one bothered you.  It was a nice time to get some upgrade going so the ship might handle itself if a fight broke out.  If?  When seemed more likely.

Zel had focused on the maneuvering capabilities.  There old B’Rel class warbirds were pretty maneuverable, but often times were in terrible need of calibration.  A simple, but tedious job that many species simply overlooked.

But, as they approached Qo’noS he had the calibration completed.  While the ship was by no means perfect at least it wasn’t as sluggish as an old targ with a bad hangover anymore.

McLaren: Zel, how are we doing?

Zel: Calibration of the impulse controls is complete so the Serenity’s handling better.  Cloak is holding steady and we’re dropping out of warp in twenty seconds, approaching the Qo’noS system.

They could feel the slight change in the hum of energy through the ship as it dropped out of warp and slowed to impulse, gliding around the outer planets.

McLaren: Good, take us around one of the planets moons... I want to be out of the way for a moment, lest we run into another cloaked ship...

He sucked a breath in through his teeth.

Zel: The system is probably full of ‘em.  Everyone wants to spectate a trial like this.  Setting a course around the moon Ku’noq.  Nice and easy so we don’t ram into another cruiser.

McLaren: No that would be decidedly bad... :: She turned, looking to Izzy. :: Izzy, any way we can contact Miss Viraj while remaining cloaked.

Blackwell: ?

The ship edged gently into the system, giving off just enough of a ping so that if they neared any other cloaked ships there would be an alarm and both would move.  That was pretty standard for in system maneuvering.  A silent, unseen handshake.  You don’t hit me, I don’t hit you.  Ships passing in the night.

McLaren: Good, get on it... use whom ever you need to assist :: She reached down, and tapped a control on the arm rest of the command chair. :: =/\= Hey, Tony... we've arrived at Qo'nos. =/\=

Blackwell: ?

Meeks: =/\= ?

McLaren: =/\= I told you we'd get you here in one piece... :: feigning mock hurt :: would I ever lie to you? =/\= :: The truth was, as part of her job the answer to that question was probably 'Yes'. ::

Zel stifled a chuckle and didn’t answer.  Not his conversation.  But still it put a smile on his face.

Meeks: =/\= ?

McLaren: =/\= We're woking on a way to contact your contact now... without giving our current position away just yet. =/\=

Meeks: =/\= ?

McLaren: Parvana, if Izzy doesnt need you, could you take Ash and do one last check over on the Loq'nom... make sure its ready for the strike team if they need it.

Parvana/Ash: ?

McLaren: Yes, Id like to be sure it wont fall apart on them... granted, we've had it longer than this ship... but still.

Parvana/Ash: ?

Zel: Hey, I test flew it myself and trust me – it flies a lot better than this ship!

McLaren/Parvana/Ash/Izzy: ?

He punched up some scan information and looked over towards Rue/Izzy.

Zel: Yeah, there’s a few open comm channels that we can use that won’t attract attention.  Klingon ships stay cloaked and still communicate in this system all the time.  Outside of the system – no.  But this is routine business.  That said, it’s an open line.  People can hear you but won’t pay attention to you unless you say something they should pay attention to.  So keep it vague, yanno?

Sometimes the best place to hide was in plain sight, but keep being uninteresting enough to ignore.

McLaren/Parvana/Ash/Izzy: ?

Zel: sure, I’ll get you into position and you should be able to easily connect.

McLaren/Parvana/Ash/Izzy: ?

Vraj: =/\= ?

Zel: ::he nodded a confirmation.:: Yeah I’m pulling up the location now.

McLaren/Parvana/Ash/Izzy: ?

Vraj: =/\= ?
