With the introductions of the new crew taken care of, it was time to focus on the achievements and acts of the officers who had made sure the Narendra had returned from its first outing since Frontier Day.
Gogi lifted his glass of champagne and took another sip, before placing it back on the table and turning to address the crowd again.
Fairhug: Now, as always, it is my pleasure to recognise the bravery and ability of the crew I am so privileged to serve with. First of all, Commander Foster, Lieutenant Wethern and Ensign Kel. For your actions in facing the Romulans and thereby helping to save crew members and refugees alike, you are all awarded the Gold Lifesaving Ribbon.
Foster/Wethern/Kel: Responses
Fairhug: Your efforts in the face of such danger were commendable and Ensign Kel, for sustaining injuries in the line of duty, you are also awarded the Purple Heart.
Kel: Response

With a nod and a smile, the Bardeezan turned to find the faces of two of his closest friends.
Fairhug: Lieutenants Marsh and Ross. Your extraordinarily heroic efforts in staying behind on the shuttles while the Narendra sped off to rescue the crew of the Valiant, ensured that the crew of the Borealis were also able to make it out alive. For this, you are both awarded the Silver Lifesaving Ribbon.
Marsh/Ross: Responses
Fairhug: ::with a slight grin:: But don't ever scare us like that again, the way you did with the pattern buffers.
Marsh/Ross: Responses
Next Gogi's eyes fell on two people in the crowd whom he knew had had a very difficult time of late. Ever since Frontier Day, actually. He only hoped that the law of averages would kick in sooner rather than later and that things would start to go a bit easier for the both of them.
Fairhug: Commander McLaren, Lieutenant Willow, for your steadfast action in facing off against Commander Metet, you are both awarded the Silver Star.
McLaren/Willow: Responses
Fairhug: Your actions protected the crew of the Narendra. Something you have both been doing for a long time now. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say how truly grateful we all are for that.
McLaren/Willow: Responses
Next on the list was a relatively new member of the crew, but one who had shown just how valuable he was to the team already. He was also particularly easy to spot in the crowd.
Fairhug: Ensign S'zurak. For your innovative work on the Bridge, in particular the way you collaborated with Lieutenants Tito and Kreshkova, you are awarded the Spliced Mainbrace Distinction.
S'zurak: Response
Fairhug: I know your first mission was very much a case of being thrown in at the deep end, but you conducted yourself with great professionalism under incredibly difficult conditions. Well done, Ensign.
S'zurak: Response
Any: Response
Of course, the aforementioned Lieutenants Tito and Kreshkova, as well as Korras, had been granted awards, as well. But those Gogi would pass on to their new commanding officers.
In the meantime, he would let those gathered congratulate each other on jobs well done. Although the congratulations would not end there…
TAG/TBC
(OOC: Congratulations on the awards, everyone! But as above, there is more yet to come! :))
