::Drinks were order with vigor. Anticipation for burning liquor and that fuzzy feelings in the tips of fingers and toes. The bartenders worked the bottles over, flipping and spinning, pouring our just the right amounts. A good shake here, stir there and over ice to top it all off.::
Rundstrom: I know this is your first posting ::he looked at the fresh Ensigns, then to Silveira.:: But for you who has been apart of the fleet for sometime, how do you find a Starbase life versus a ships?
Silveira: Funny enough this was my first assignment. So I am familiar with the station. It is massive, and if I am not careful I still get lost here. Also I never have a chance to meet all my staff, there are just too many to know them all. And there is a cooziness on a starship that we don’t really have here. ::Vitor tilted his head.:: But if really look to it, even being stationed here, we spent a lot of our time on a starship, so we have the best of both worlds.
::Attikus nodded, listening. He’d been around a little bits worth. Mostly due to the exchange program as well as his unquenchable desire to see as much as he could. There was only so much one could see stationed in one place.::
Valentino: I’ve only been here a very short while and I find that it’s like living in a city. Immense population and too many things to do, which is great.
Adler: All the world’s a stage, and sometimes this station plays the galaxy’s watchman, while, other times, it might be the galaxy’s doormat. But personally, it’s like putting all my travel experience as a youth aboard a cargo ship under this one giant roof. It’s exciting. :: Adler’s ale arrived. :: How about you, Commander?
Rundstrom: I find both has rewards and both has follies, and to each it is different. The station welcomes diversity not seen in most places, so it is greatly welcomed.
Silveira: Quite interesting. ::Turning to Valentino and winking.:: From what I have heard you on the other hand are making yourself quite comfortable Mr. Valentino.
Valentino: Why, whatever do you mean, sir? ::Chuckles::
Silveira: Like I said, I have served here before, so I know the 118’s rumor mill well.
::Rundstrom listened on a bit more. Hearing, as they say, ‘from the horses mouth’ so rather interesting rumors. As well as things people seem comfortable with sharing. Which was quite a lot now a days. Soon the conversation turned from histories to tall tales and everything in between.
But time flies when one is having fun. And before they new it, the Captain was gathering their attention and preparing to give a lengthy speech…::
