((Inside the MaxThruster, Outside Starbase 118))

The MaxThruster gently continued through the mix of cosmic dust and bright gaseous formations. The last known traceable particulates off of the other ship entered directly into this part of space.

sh’Sonora: Sensors are restricted to short range… not getting anything so far. See if you can fiddle with it a bit while I fly around and keep my eyes open.

A’Mayri switched to manual adjustment as the screen lowered to three aligned toggles and a touch pad, increasing sensor sensitivity while filtering out gaseous noise from the read outs with gentle flicks of her wrists on the toggle. Although considered less effective in wide array collection, it was beneficial when forced into limited situations such as this.

The half Vulcan could see what she surmised was frustration from the pilot. The silence was not unwelcome, but the quick adjustment from heart thundering maneuvers to silent self-contemplation left A’Mayri wondering if there was anything else she could even contribute to the moment. She had grown not used to but perhaps was eased by the Andorians enthusiasm during this thrilling turn of events. Like a steady fire that could burn your hand but help produce heat for the hearth, A’Mayri knew she was content in helping maintain the fire and keep it burning.

A’Mayri: Switched to manual sensor array and scanning parameters. Your visuals and sensors on the main control panel should be adjusted to the new readings shortly.

sh’Sonora: I have a reading! Duranium… but it’s small. Not a shuttle. More like…. ::She squints at the sensor screen. :: A… container? What do you suppose that is?

A’Mayri: A container is not unlikely due to constant trade routes in the area, perhaps it’s dislodged cargo from a conflict? ::partially squints along, reaching over to capture the reading and expanding its view::

sh’Sonora: ?

A sudden flurry of light lit up and arched across their view screens, the bright and almost iridescent colors of mini burning suns gliding across their view screen like a lighthouse through the fog. The MTF’s systems immediately registered the reaction as an ignited trail of cosmic dust and gases following a mass that could be classified as-

sh’Sonora: ?

A’Mayri: Yes- that I believe is a comet whose tail has been ignited. ::pause:: our adjusted sensors have not picked up the reading of another ship or vehicle that could have initiated such a reaction, however. That could possibly be the other part of our party. ::Quickly locking tracking systems onto the large mass, sending the coordinates and active readings to the pilot’s main consul.:: We may be able to guide the crate along with a tractor beam if we wish to bring it along with us.

sh’Sonora: ?

A’Mayri: If the team is indeed involved in this rather visually pleasing view, then perhaps it would be prudent for us to try and do the same. It would be a shame if we were to not partake, as this appears to be right along with your predicted enjoyment.

sh’Sonora: ?

~~FIN~~

((OOC: Thank you for such a fun adventure! I really love your Adorian pilote, her energy is fantastic and I can't wait to interact and get to know her even more! I apologise if this back sim looks like burned and electrocuted parts stitched together into a barely alive creature. I am running of dreams, a hot redbull and two hours of sleep after some emergency screenings needed to get done at work. ))
