((StarBase 118 – Promenade))
Madison lifted a brow, much like a Vulcan might, in curiosity, beaming in delight and wonderment, obviously interested. Haukea smiled in response. Not only at Madison’s interest but likewise at the proximity to their destination.
Marsh: I can understand your position on that. I enjoy helping others as a Medical Doctor and have been developing my leadership ability on the side with Commander Fairhug. My goal is to better myself as a Doctor and as a future leader.
Willow: So you eventually want to enter the command track?
Knowing the personality of those individuals that typically entered the command track, people that were leadership oriented, Haukea gathered to guess that Madison had goals of such a career. Despite that assumption, Madison shrugged her shoulders, contemplating the idea, while also tilting her head to gaze up at the taller Risian.
Marsh: With adequate training, I don't see why not.
Willow: I love this about you. This drive you have.
That was just it. Haukea knew for a fact she appreciated this quality in Madison. However, as love went, she could not explain why; not that it mattered.
Marsh: Footprints are ugly, I move with a purpose.
((Night Garden - Promenade - Starbase 118))
The location was full of a variety of night blooming plants from all corners of the galaxy, some tropical, some of other varieties. All of which scented the room with a lightly sweet aroma. Around the perimeter of the room was a wide walking path.
Willow: Welcome to the Night Gardens.
From the moment Haukea learned about the Night Garden’s existence, she found that it would make an excellent location to take a first date. Though there was still some level of hesitation as she had not dated, man nor woman, in some time. She only hoped that she made a command decision that proved to be worth both Madison’s enjoyment and their ability to connect. Even then she watched as Madison took in her surroundings.
Marsh: This is one heck of a garden.
Willow: I would say I thought of you when I first came here, but that would be a total lie. I’m glad you like it.
Haukea was almost too stunned to speak. Not with the way she had paused to gaze at Madison as the other woman continued to peer around the garden at the multitude of night blooming plants around her.
Marsh: Do you have any plants like these at your apartment? I still have my gift from Commander DeVeau all alive and thriving.
Willow: Well, some may know that I dabble in oil painting and holo-photography, but I also have an interest in botany.
While Madison did nod her head in agreement, Haukea was sure that her answer didn’t quite answer her question completely.
Marsh: Thank you for taking me here. I will have to check it out in the future. It is a nice place to relax and reflect while enjoying the company of others.
Willow: You are welcome. I was certainly hesitant to bring you. Not sure if you would actually enjoy the Night Garden.
Marsh: Response
Willow: Would you mind if I kissed you right now?
Marsh: Response
End Scene For Haukea.
