((Miranda VII, Deck 13))

Green: How is she?

Sill-con: ::looks at her for a moment before looking at green:: stable at the moment.

Sera had closed her eyes doing what she could to limit anymore stimulus from reaching her burning brain.  She no longer felt the overwhelming aggression coursing through her veins, but what was left of her consciousness was…unravelling.

Sera began to focus inward in an all but desperate manner to bring the internal cascade under control.  Her efforts were less than satisfactory, but that did not mean that quitting was an option.  The strange vocalizations from the others became muted utterances and finally Sera did not hear them at all.

Taelon/Sam: ?

Sill-con simply took a step back now that his superiors are involved, opting to remain quiet as they spoke of their next move. He had done his duty, and he has done it well. the objective was complete and they returned mostly fine... for the first time Sill-con felt light.

Sera’s body went limp as she entered a healing trance of sorts.  Oh, it wasn’t fixing anything, but it was slowing the progression of the neurotoxin; and the filtering air of the shuttle kept them all from being exposed to any further amounts of the substance.

Taelon/Sam: ?

Her essential self drifted deeper into unconsciousness; it was safer for the rest of her crewmates, and the enforced isolation from external stimuli settled the fight-or-flight response that had been governing her actions since being exposed.

Sash-savas, leather and the smoke of the hearth-fire bathed her senses.  Her mind ‘relaxed’ into aroma – for it reminded her of him…and the fortified section within her mind which carried that which was not her.  Compared to the chaos of her mind, this immaterial part within her psyche was quiet, peaceful.  Her katra curled about it as a form of refuge, taking solace in the cool, almost familiar sense of other.

And the fine tremoring of her limbs finally ceased.
