((Quark's, Promenade, StarBase 118))
Fazek did not mind the rain. If anything, it reminded him fondly of home - Ferenginar, gray and wet and dark, the faint rumble of thunder and the rustle of the rain a permanent background music for any decision.
He was still busy with sweeping up the shards and fragments the Klingon rage had left behind - two broken chairs, a shattered bottle, cutlery and glass all over the floor. He had already tried to call the Federation News Service in order to make headlines with the injustice he had been greeted with on base - but from what Fazek got, chaos had erupted all over the base and there were more important stories than his. What a day to start.
The change of fate did not come suddenly.
It started quietly.
At first he noticed the rush of the crowd slowing down, before it finally reversed - instead of hurrying into the city center, people turned around, seeking refuge from the storm in the docking bay.
It was only then he realised his big flashing sign outside had not been turned on.
Fazek was enough of a business-man to turn a setback into an opportunity. And that's how he found himself standing outside a few minutes later, shouting and calling into the roaring weather:
Fazek: Raktajino! Vulcan TEA! The SIGHT of a lovely Dabo girl! Get into Quark's and WARM yourself UP! For any drink you get an accompanying towel! Only today!
It didn't take long before they came flooding in.
A big, toothy grin had settled on Fazek's face when he found himself back behind the bar, serving drinks, replicating towels and watching the place fill up: Soon, the room was filled with wet and disillusioned parade-participants, clinging on to their hot cups of tea.
It was good first day of business for his place.
What did the Rule of Acquisition #22 say? A wise man can hear profit in the wind. Fazek had heard it in the rain.
End of Scene for Fazek
(OOC: Just a closer for my new PNPC - but if anyone feels like having a drink and a talk at the bar feel free to throw Fazek some tags!)
