(( Deck 1 - Main Bridge - U.S.S. Aurora-A ))
McLaren: Lieutenant, Ensign glad you could join me. Welcome aboard the Aurora.
sh’Sonora: Glad to be here, Sir!
Muur: Response?
Sol smiled gesturing around the bridge, letting them look around.
McLaren: I hope you’re both ready to fly today.
sh’Sonora: Always ready, Sir! And don’t say I can’t deliver. Fast, slow, steady, thrilling, you want it, I got it.
Muur: Response?
Sol grinned, pointing to the helm and ops stations.
McLaren: We'll take the ship out to the edge of the Azure Nebula... put it through its paces. Mi'sh, if you'd take the helm... Ensign Muur, operations.
sh’Sonora: ::Saluting:: Right away, Sir!
Muur: Response?
McLaren: You'll both have a chance to fly today, I promise.
sh’Sonora: And just think, since I’m a shuttle jock, this might mean the Aurora’s more your baby, while I’m its babysitter. Cool, huh?
Muur: Response?
sh’Sonora: Course laid in, ready to engage.
Sol grinned.
McLaren: Ensign, clear our departure with Fleet Ops.
Sol waited the few moments as Vetan communicated with 118's Fleet Operations department.
Muur: Response?
She nodded, looking to Mi'shune
McLaren: Take us out, Lieutenant, thrusters until we clear the space doors, then use your own discretion to take us out toward the Azure Nebula.
sh'Sonora: Response?
Sol sat back as the ship cleared its moorings and began to propel its way out of the mushroom cap of 118. Ahead of them the space doors opened revealing the starts and the view of the Jenatris Cloud off in the distance. Thankfully they weren't headed in that direction today. The Azure Nebula on the other hand was a known quantity, for the most part, so it would give them a nice area to let the ship stretch its legs.
Sol stood, walking the bridge for a moment, checking a few of the other unmanned stations, seeing just how things were reacting as they got underway.
McLaren: It's certainly a nice ride... like it just rolled out of Utopia Planitia.
Muur/sh'Sonora: Response?
Sol glanced down at the engineering station she had stopped at, finding a familiar face sitting there for the moment. T'liss glanced back at her and gave a professional nod before returning her attention to her monitors, which were keeping an eye on the various propulsion systems as the ship engaged them.
She returned to the XO's seat, and sat again.
McLaren: There's a set of asteroids, just on the edge of the nebula. Big lazy hulking ones that should provide a nice obstacle course for the both of you to get a handle on the ship...
Muur/sh'Sonora: Response?
