((Sannin VII - Cardassian Embassy - Corridor))

On a mission, on the Starbase, during negotiations it didn’t matter, the Commodore was one of the highest ranking officers who was “freely” available. That said it was most appropriate to call ahead, schedule a meeting, open the lines of communication. Such action avoided trouble and besides it was a simple professional courtesy. Nevertheless, most reporters, whether or not they were officially Federation, tended to sneak past regulations, diverting professional courtesy, making officers’ jobs harder and nerves frayed.

Willow (as Sherlock): You only have one chance to make a good impression with the Commodore. Simply put, in order to avoid wasting both your time and his, he is unavailable.

Haukea was attempting to say no in the most neutral, professional, reasonable and polite way possible. It was simply in her nature to let others down gently. She had a hard time saying no straight up.

Iru: Response

Sherlock (as Ksivi-Sava): ::huffing:: You're not going anywhere near him.

Ksivi-Sava (as Willow): Response

Iru: Response

Sherlock (as Ksivi-Sava): Because oOI said so!Oo we have some questions for you.

Willow (as Sherlock): Let’s get this clear. This “interview” is a two way street. If you get to ask questions, so do we. Is that understood?

Sherlock (as Ksivi-Sava): And if we don't like the answers... ::shrugging::

Ksivi-Sava (as Willow): Response

Iru: Response

Willow (as Sherlock): As it is obvious we have a job to perform, what gives you the authority to conduct an unscheduled interview?

It was quite obvious that the media on Risa and that which operated within the Federation were two vastly different organizations. On Risa the media, while taking the occurrences out of proportion, had a right to be there, had a right to report the nature of what had occurred in order to assure the public of professional procedure and safety. However, within the Federation reporters had little authority, had to ask for permission, though they hardly received it. As such Federation reporters were often seen sneaking past all authority, twisting truths they knew nothing about. Exactly what Iru was doing.

Sherlock (as Ksivi-Sava): ::mumbling under her breath:: She has no authority.

oO Ain't that the truth Oo

Ksivi-Sava (as Willow): Response

Iru: Response

Willow (as Sherlock): Interviews with Starfleet officers in uniform need to be scheduled in the future. It is merely a professional courtesy to do so. Why didn’t you?

Perhaps it was Sherlock’s emotional influence, as it was clear Haukea typically remained neutral, as to why her words took on an undertone of ‘get out of my face.’

Ksivi-Sava (as Willow): Response

Iru: Response

Sherlock (as Ksivi-Sava): ::turning towards her...self...:: Lieutenant, I think we need to know what Miss Iru already knows. And just as importantly, how.

Willow (as Sherlock): ::Haukea took a shaky breath in order to calm herself. She was starting to not act like herself at all. Perhaps it was a side effect of the body swap:: Why she is here can explain a great deal. Nevertheless, Ms. Iru it appears you know a great deal on our situation. Information that is hard to obtain without Starfleet security clearance. How, may I ask, did you obtain such classified information?

Iru: Response

Sherlock (as Ksivi-Sava): ::doing as Iru wished and not addressing her/speaking as if she wasn't there:: It would seem she already knows plenty. And we should know where this leak in op sec is.

Willow (as Sherlock): Answer my question. How and from whom did you receive this information?

Ksivi-Sava (as Willow)/Sherlock (as Ksivi-Sava): Response

Iru: Response

Willow: Did they give a name? Any identifying features?

Ksivi-Sava (as Willow)/Sherlock (as Ksivi-Sava): Response

Iru: Response

Willow (as Sherlock): I see…You are making it significantly difficult for us to conduct our duty assignment.
