((San Frnacisco District – StarBase 118 Ops))
Zel: I think Commander McLaren would rather chew glass than buy a Temurian power core. In fact I’d wager that the established businesses all have their preset suppliers. So unless one was struggling and had to make changes we might do better focusing on the newest businesses.
T’liss: Having only met her a few times... I believe you are correct.
Zel: Crawley’s Exotic Holoreads is only three months old, but doesn’t seem to fit the bill. Zu’mok’s Craw’lok is some sort of seafood eatery… sounds good, but also unlikely…
T’liss: Agreed.
Zel: I dunno, maybe we’re going about this wrong. Let me see if Lieutenant Hernandez is affected. She’s good a good pulse on everything that comes through cargo control.
T'liss nodded, studying the directory for a few moments more while Zel contacted the lieutenant in charge of cargo control. T'liss had had the pleasure of meeting her, and found her very effieicnt at her job. Which was high praise from a Vulcan. Also from the Borg. So it was doubled in T'liss' case.
Zel: Oh hey, she’s not affected either. Great! She’s sending me a list of everything that cargo control cleared for the San Fran district with a power core reading.
T’Liss: And she appears most concerned for you as well...
He watched as the data started to come through.
Zel: not much. A heating element for the tea shop, a lighted platform for Suban’s Musical Instruments, an “art object” for Cosmos Canvas gallery… why does an art object need a power core? And a massage therapy chamber for the Rose Touch salon.
T'liss pointed.
T’Liss: The gallery is close to the other group. :: She moved her finger. :: The salon is just down the road near us... we should check there first and the move toward the others on the list.
Zel: Response?
T'liss turned and headed toward the salon and a quickened pace, her tricorder infront of her, eyes fixed on the scanning output. The readings continued to grow as they neared the salon.
T'liss: Readings are consistent with the power core you showed me.
Zel: Response?
T'liss nodded. That there were more of these power cores on the station was very concerning. As they approached the darkened doors of the salon T'liss' brow furrowed.
T'liss: Perhaps they evacuated... given the weather... :: She paused. :: Or perhaps they were affected by the energy wave...
T'liss reached for the door, unsurprised to find it locked. She looked to Zel.
Zel: Response?
