Another important question that didn’t have a direct answer. Haukea didn’t exactly have a primary care doctor. Not at the moment anyway. Not since Trovek Arys stopped, for unknown reasons, being Chief Medical Officer; not that Haukea was ever going to ask for specifics. Nevertheless she understood the importance of having a primary care physician as it allowed for specialty care, careful tracking of injury and illness incidence etc. Besides, Haukea had no major preferences when it came to her primary care physician, other than the fact she responded better to a female. She certainly trusted male doctors, believing they had plenty of skill, they just never jived with her personally.

Marsh: It sounds like I meet your specifications. If you are not opposed then I will list myself as your primary care Doctor.

Willow: You?! I mean….I’m not opposed. You do have a great bedside manner. ::Haukea blushed::

Haukea blushed, cheeks turning pink, as Marsh squinted her eyes at her. Her own comment on the doctor’s bedside manner must have thrown the other woman off. Haukea merely blushed harder knowing that going forward Marsh would be conducting her treatment.

Marsh: Before I move on to the medical procedure, did you have any concerns?

Willow: No other concerns. I’m usually healthy, don’t get sick often. No chronic concerns.

Nothing that was certainly serious that was. Her mother did always say she was a chronic overthinker that needed to work on her balance. Nevertheless, she continued to sit, legs hanging off the edge of the biobed, swinging back and forth as she waited for Marsh to return with her equipment.

Marsh: You stay there and relax while I grab a few supplies.

Willow: Sure…Sure. You want me sitting or laying down?

As part of her personality Haukea liked to be prepared, though not in the way typical people would. Missions she prepared best for in the moment, asking questions only when the topic of conversation became relevant to her, never knowing details beforehand. However, when it came to personal and intimate aspects of her life, she found herself curious about even the smallest of details. Such uncharacteristic preparedness appeared to have confused Dr. Marsh who turned to meet her gaze, likely more accustomed to individuals not knowing how to behave during a medical procedure.

Marsh: Lay down and relax. I will patch you up in no time.

Listening to Marsh’s instructions Haukea maneuvered herself on the biobed so that she was laying on her back.

Willow: I don’t doubt that. You’re the best doctor around. ::Maybe it was the crush talking but the complement was well ment and sincere::

Returning to her bedside Marsh began a scan of the injured portion of Haukea’s face, her noise, which was likely broken. Perhaps her own personal assessment of the injury was correct as she watched Marsh set down her tricorder in order to prepare a hypospray with medication.

Marsh: You have a broken nose that requires minor surgery to repair the bone and cartilage. I will be able to remove all of the cuts on your face and the burning sensation will cease to be there. I will inject you with Terakine which will allow this procedure to be pain free. How does that sound?

Haukea didn’t even care if her compliments gave away her obvious crush on the woman. It wasn’t like she was trying to hide the affection she felt all together, what with her future plans.

Willow: Coming from you that sounds like heaven.

Marsh nodded once, providing her show of agreement, as she tilted her head down, a smile spreading across her face.

Marsh: Did you have any additional questions before I start the procedure?

Haukea would have waited til everything was said and done before asking her all important question, yet Marsh’s professionalism, kindness and opportunity for openness provided the perfect moment for her mouth to run away from her.

Willow: Only that when this is over, will you go out with me?

Marsh: Response

Willow: On a date.

Marsh: Response

Willow: I have something in mind ::She paused gauging the other woman’s reaction:: Does that mean yes?

Marsh: Response
