((SB118 - Commercial Sector - Mina and Dimi's Greek House))
((A couple of days after the party at Keals))
Kelly: I see.::He considered something for a moment.:: You and your people are welcome to cross-train with us on one of the large infantry training holodecks sometime. I'm sure there is plenty we can learn from each other.
Aitas: Agreed. I'm sure I can arrange it sometime. I'll admit I don't usually spend much time on the holodeck, but in this case I'd happily make an exception.
::It was always bizarre, to have a certain portion of her senses useless when it came to holograms. As if part of herself had grown numb and useless. Well, more numb than it was already.::
Kelly: Alright, ::He laughed to himself with a touch of nervousness.:: I'm sorry... this is kind of a weird question, but have you ever tried any of the Aiden Price holo-adventures?
::Oh, that explained a certain portion of his awkwardness. Now she had a good sense of just what might have disconcerted him on that account.::
Aitas: I haven't, no. I was the model for Sultra Drax, it'd be a bit awkward to play them myself.
::She gave him a reassuring, slightly teasing smile.:
Kelly: Oh, ok. That makes sense. ::He put on a mildly sarcastic grin.:: I didn't know I was having lunch with a celebrity...
Aitas: ::she laughed, shaking her head:: I'm no celebrity. Just worked with Jakarn on Risa for a few years.
::There was a brief flicker of memory across her face. Sometimes she still missed Risa, missed the days where she had a little less weight on her shoulders. There were still moments where she rather expected to crumple under all of it.::
Kelly: ?
Aitas: It was interesting. Not quite what I wanted to do long-term, though.
Kelly: ?
Aitas: Starfleet is a bit more...rewarding. I hope the station stays quiet for a while now, though. ::she leaned back, nursing her drink.:: Even if I've never found that to be a safe bet.
Kelly: ?
